[niv] An oracle concerning Egypt: See, the LORD rides on a swift cloud and is coming to Egypt. The idols of Egypt tremble before him, and the hearts of the Egyptians melt within them.
[asv] The burden of Egypt. Behold, Jehovah rideth upon a swift cloud, and cometh unto Egypt: and the idols of Egypt shall tremble at his presence; and the heart of Egypt shall melt in the midst of it.

19:2

[niv] "I will stir up Egyptian against Egyptian-- brother will fight against brother, neighbor against neighbor, city against city, kingdom against kingdom.
[asv] And I will stir up the Egyptians against the Egyptians: and they shall fight every one against his brother, and every one against his neighbor; city against city, and kingdom against kingdom.
[jnd] And I will incite the Egyptians against the Egyptians; and they shall fight every one against his brother, and every one against his neighbour; city against city, kingdom against kingdom.

19:3

[niv] The Egyptians will lose heart, and I will bring their plans to nothing; they will consult the idols and the spirits of the dead, the mediums and the spiritists.
[asv] And the spirit of Egypt shall fail in the midst of it; and I will destroy the counsel thereof: and they shall seek unto the idols, and to the charmers, and to them that have familiar spirits, and to the wizards.
[jnd] And the spirit of Egypt shall fail in the midst of it, and I will destroy the counsel thereof; and they shall seek unto the idols and unto the conjurers, and unto the necromancers, and unto the soothsayers.

[ylt] And emptied out hath been in its midst the spirit of Egypt. And its counsel I swallow up, And they have sought unto the idols, And unto the charmers, And unto those having familiar spirits, And unto the wizards.
[bbe] And the spirit of Egypt will be troubled in her, and I will make her decisions without effect: and they will be turning to the false gods, and to those who make hollow sounds, and to those who have control of spirits, and to those who are wise in secret arts.
19:4

[niv] I will hand the Egyptians over to the power of a cruel master, and a fierce king will rule over them," declares the Lord, the LORD Almighty.
[asv] And I will give over the Egyptians into the hand of a cruel lord; and a fierce king shall rule over them, saith the Lord, Jehovah of hosts.

19:5

[niv] The waters of the river will dry up, and the riverbed will be parched and dry.
[asv] And the waters shall fail from the sea, and the river shall be wasted and become dry.

[niv] The canals will stink; the streams of Egypt will dwindle and dry up. The reeds and rushes will wither,
[asv] And the rivers shall become foul; the streams of Egypt shall be diminished and dried up; the reeds and flags shall wither away.
[jnd] and the rivers shall stink, and the streams of Egypt shall be diminished and drain away: the reeds and sedges shall wither.
[kjv] And they shall turn the rivers far away; and the brooks of defence shall be emptied and dried up: the reeds and flags shall wither.

19:7

[niv] also the plants along the Nile, at the mouth of the river. Every sown field along the Nile will become parched, will blow away and be no more.

19:8

[niv] The fishermen will groan and lament, all who cast hooks into the Nile; those who throw nets on the water will pine away.
[asv] And the fishers shall lament, and all they that cast angle into the Nile shall mourn, and they that spread nets upon the waters shall languish.
[jnd] And the fishers shall mourn, and all they that cast fish-hook into the Nile shall lament, and they that spread net upon the waters shall languish.

19:9
[cbgb] 用梳好的麻造物的，和织白布的，都必羞愧。 < | >
[niv] Those who work with combed flax will despair, the weavers of fine linen will lose hope.
[asv] Moreover they that work in combed flax, and they that weave white cloth, shall be confounded.
[jnd] And they that work in fine flax, and they that weave white stuffs shall be ashamed.
[kjv] Moreover they that work in fine flax, and they that weave networks, shall be confounded.
[nwb] Moreover they that work in fine flax, and they that weave net-works shall be confounded.
[rsv] The workers in combed flax will be in despair, and the weavers of white cotton.

[ylt] And ashamed have been makers of fine flax, And weavers of net-works.

19:10
[cbgb] 国柱必被打碎，所有佣工的，心必愁烦。 < | >
[niv] The workers in cloth will be dejected, and all the wage earners will be sick at heart.
[asv] And the pillars of Egypt shall be broken in pieces; all they that work for hire shall be grieved in soul.
[jnd] And her pillars shall be broken in pieces, and all workers for hire shall be sad of soul.
[kjv] And they shall be broken in the purposes thereof, all that make sluices and ponds for fish.

19:11

[niv] The officials of Zoan are nothing but fools; the wise counselors of Pharaoh give senseless advice. How can you say to Pharaoh, "I am one of the wise men, a disciple of the ancient kings"?
[asv] The princes of Zoan are utterly foolish; the counsel of the wisest counsellors of Pharaoh is become brutish: how say ye unto Pharaoh, I am the son of the wise, the son of ancient kings?
[jnd] They are but fools, the princes of Zoan, the wise counsellors of Pharaoh: counsel is become senseless. How say ye unto Pharaoh, I am the son of the wise, the son of ancient kings?
[kjv] Surely the princes of Zoan are fools, the counsel of the wise counsellors of Pharaoh is become brutish: how say ye unto Pharaoh, I am the son of the wise, the son of ancient kings?
[nwb] Surely the princes of Zoan fools, the counsel of the wise counselors of Pharaoh is become brutish: how say ye to Pharaoh, I the son of the wise, the son of ancient kings?
[rsv] The princes of Zo'an are utterly foolish; the wise counselors of Pharaoh give stupid counsel. How can you say to Pharaoh, "I am a son of the wise, a son of ancient kings"?

[ylt] Only, fools the princes of Zoan, The counsel of the wise ones of the counsellors of Pharaoh hath become brutish. How say ye unto Pharaoh, `A son of the wise am I, a son of kings of antiquity?'
[bbe] The chiefs of Zoan are completely foolish; the wisest guides of Pharaoh have become like beasts: how do you say to Pharaoh, I am the son of the wise, the offspring of early kings?
19:12

[niv] Where are your wise men now? Let them show you and make known what the LORD Almighty has planned against Egypt.
[asv] Where then are thy wise men? and let them tell thee now; and let them know what Jehovah of hosts hath purposed concerning Egypt.

[niv] The officials of Zoan have become fools, the leaders of Memphis are deceived; the cornerstones of her peoples have led Egypt astray.
[asv] The princes of Zoan are become fools, the princes of Memphis are deceived; they have caused Egypt to go astray, that are the corner-stone of her tribes.
[jnd] The princes of Zoan are become foolish, the princes of Noph are deceived; and the corner-stones of its tribes have caused Egypt to err.
[kjv] The princes of Zoan are become fools, the princes of Noph are deceived; they have also seduced Egypt, even they that are the stay of the tribes thereof.

[niv] The LORD has poured into them a spirit of dizziness; they make Egypt stagger in all that she does, as a drunkard staggers around in his vomit.
[asv] Jehovah hath mingled a spirit of perverseness in the midst of her; and they have caused Egypt to go astray in every work thereof, as a drunken man staggereth in his vomit.
[jnd] Jehovah hath mingled a spirit of perverseness in the midst thereof; and they have caused Egypt to err in every work thereof, as a drunkard staggereth in his vomit.

19:15

[niv] There is nothing Egypt can do-- head or tail, palm branch or reed.
[asv] Neither shall there be for Egypt any work, which head or tail, palm-branch or rush, may do.

[niv] In that day the Egyptians will be like women. They will shudder with fear at the uplifted hand that the LORD Almighty raises against them.
[asv] In that day shall the Egyptians be like unto women; and they shall tremble and fear because of the shaking of the hand of Jehovah of hosts, which he shaketh over them.
[jnd] In that day shall Egypt be like unto women; and it shall tremble and fear because of the shaking of the hand of Jehovah of hosts, which he shaketh over it.

19:17
[cbgb] 犹大地必使埃及惊恐。向谁题起犹大地，谁就惧怕。这是因万军之耶和华向埃及所定得旨意。 < | >
[niv] And the land of Judah will bring terror to the Egyptians; everyone to whom Judah is mentioned will be terrified, because of what the LORD Almighty is planning against them.
[asv] And the land of Judah shall become a terror unto Egypt; every one to whom mention is made thereof shall be afraid, because of the purpose of Jehovah of hosts, which he purposeth against it.
[jnd] And the land of Judah shall be a dismay unto Egypt: every one that thinketh of it shall be afraid for himself, because of the counsel of Jehovah of hosts, which he hath purposed against it.
[kjv] And the land of Judah shall be a terror unto Egypt, every one that maketh mention thereof shall be afraid in himself, because of the counsel of the LORD of hosts, which he hath determined against it.
[nwb] And the land of Judah shall be a terror to Egypt, every one that maketh mention of it shall be afraid in himself, because of the counsel of the LORD of hosts, which he hath determined against it.
[rsv] And the land of Judah will become a terror to the Egyptians; every one to whom it is mentioned will fear because of the purpose which the LORD of hosts has purposed against them.

[ylt] And the land of Judah hath been to Egypt for a cause of staggering, Every one who doth mention it, for himself feareth, Because of the counsel of Jehovah of Hosts, That He is counselling against it.
[bbe] And the land of Judah will become a cause of great fear to Egypt; whenever its name comes to mind, Egypt will be in fear before the Lord of armies because of his purpose against it.
19:18

[niv] In that day five cities in Egypt will speak the language of Canaan and swear allegiance to the LORD Almighty. One of them will be called the City of Destruction.
[asv] In that day there shall be five cities in the land of Egypt that speak the language of Canaan, and swear to Jehovah of hosts; one shall be called The city of destruction.
[jnd] In that day shall there be five cities in the land of Egypt speaking the language of Canaan, and swearing by Jehovah of hosts: one shall be called, The city of Heres.
[kjv] In that day shall five cities in the land of Egypt speak the language of Canaan, and swear to the LORD of hosts; one shall be called, The city of destruction.

19:19

[niv] In that day there will be an altar to the LORD in the heart of Egypt, and a monument to the LORD at its border.
[asv] In that day shall there be an altar to Jehovah in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar at the border thereof to Jehovah.

[niv] It will be a sign and witness to the LORD Almighty in the land of Egypt. When they cry out to the LORD because of their oppressors, he will send them a savior and defender, and he will rescue them.

19:21

[niv] So the LORD will make himself known to the Egyptians, and in that day they will acknowledge the LORD. They will worship with sacrifices and grain offerings; they will make vows to the LORD and keep them.
[asv] And Jehovah shall be known to Egypt, and the Egyptians shall know Jehovah in that day; yea, they shall worship with sacrifice and oblation, and shall vow a vow unto Jehovah, and shall perform it.

19:22

[niv] The LORD will strike Egypt with a plague; he will strike them and heal them. They will turn to the LORD, and he will respond to their pleas and heal them.
