    1[和合本]耶和华的话二次临到约拿说:
    [拼音]yē hé huá de huà,èr cì lín dào yuē ná shuō,
    [WEB]Yahweh’s word came to Jonah the second time, saying,
    [ASV]And the word of Jehovah came unto Jonah the second time, saying,
    2[和合本]“你起来!往尼尼微大城去,向其中的居民宣告我所吩咐你的话。”
    [拼音]nǐ qǐ lái,wǎng ní ní wéi dà chéng qù,xiàng qí zhōng de jū mín xuān gào wǒ suǒ fēn fù nǐ de huà。
    [WEB]“Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and preach to it the message that I give you.”
    [ASV]Arise, go unto Nineveh, that great city, and preach unto it the preaching that I bid thee.
    3[和合本]约拿便照耶和华的话起来,往尼尼微去。这尼尼微是极大的城,有三日的路程。
    [拼音]yuē ná biàn zhào yē hé huá de huà qǐ lái,wǎng ní ní wéi qù。zhè ní ní wéi shì jí dà de chéng,yǒu sān rì de lù chéng。
    [WEB]So Jonah arose, and went to Nineveh, according to Yahweh’s word. Now Nineveh was an exceedingly great city, three days’ journey across.
    [ASV]So Jonah arose, and went unto Nineveh, according to the word of Jehovah. Now Nineveh was an exceeding great city, of three days’ journey.
    4[和合本]约拿进城走了一日,宣告说:“再等四十日,尼尼微必倾覆了!”
    [拼音]yuē ná jìn chéng zǒu le yī rì,xuān gào shuō,zài děng sì shí rì,ní ní wéi bì qīng fù le。
    [WEB]Jonah began to enter into the city a day’s journey, and he cried out, and said, “In forty days, Nineveh will be overthrown!”
    [ASV]And Jonah began to enter into the city a day’s journey, and he cried, and said, Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown.
    5[和合本]尼尼微人信服上帝,便宣告禁食,从最大的到至小的都穿麻衣(或作“披上麻布”)。

    [WEB]The people of Nineveh believed God; and they proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from their greatest even to their least.

    6[和合本]这信息传到尼尼微王的耳中,他就下了宝座,脱下朝服,披上麻布,坐在灰中。

    [WEB]The news reached the king of Nineveh, and he arose from his throne, and took off his royal robe, covered himself with sackcloth, and sat in ashes.
    [ASV] And the tidings reached the king of Nineveh, and he arose from his throne, and laid his robe from him, and covered him with sackcloth, and sat in ashes.
    7[和合本]他又使人遍告尼尼微通城说:“王和大臣有令,人不可尝什么,牲畜、牛羊不可吃草,也不可喝水。

    [WEB]He made a proclamation and published through Nineveh by the decree of the king and his nobles, saying, “Let neither man nor animal, herd nor flock, taste anything; let them not feed, nor drink water;
    [ASV]And he made proclamation and published through Nineveh by the decree of the king and his nobles, saying, Let neither man nor beast, herd nor flock, taste anything; let them not feed, nor drink water;
    8[和合本]人与牲畜都当披上麻布,人要切切求告上帝。各人回头离开所行的恶道,丢弃手中的强暴。
    [拼音]rén yǔ shēng chù dōu dāng pī shàng má bù,rén yào qiè qiè qíu gào shén。gè rén huí tóu lí kāi suǒ xíng de è dào,dīu qì shǒu zhōng de qiáng bào。
    [WEB]but let them be covered with sackcloth, both man and animal, and let them cry mightily to God. Yes, let them turn everyone from his evil way, and from the violence that is in his hands.
    [ASV]but let them be covered with sackcloth, both man and beast, and let them cry mightily unto God: yea, let them turn every one from his evil way, and from the violence that is in his hands.
    9[和合本]或者上帝转意后悔,不发烈怒,使我们不至灭亡,也未可知。”
    [拼音]huò zhě shén zhuǎn yì hòu huǐ,bù fā liè nù,shǐ wǒ mén bú zhì miè wáng,yě wèi kě zhī。
    [WEB]Who knows whether God will not turn and relent, and turn away from his fierce anger, so that we might not perish?”
    [ASV]Who knoweth whether God will not turn and repent, and turn away from his fierce anger, that we perish not?
    10[和合本]于是上帝察看他们的行为,见他们离开恶道,他就后悔,不把所说的灾祸降与他们了。
    [拼音]yú shì shén chá kàn tā mén de xíng wèi,jiàn tā mén lí kāi è dào,tā jìu hòu huǐ, bù bǎ suǒ shuō de zāi huò jiàng yǔ tā mén le。
    [WEB]God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way. God relented of the disaster which he said he would do to them, and he didn’t do it.
    [ASV]And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil which he said he would do unto them; and he did it not.
