[niv] They urgently requested Festus, as a favor to them, to have Paul transferred to Jerusalem, for they were preparing an ambush to kill him along the way.

[niv] Let some of your leaders come with me and press charges against the man there, if he has done anything wrong."
[asv] Let them therefore, saith he, that are of power among you go down with me, and if there is anything amiss in the man, let them accuse him.
[jnd] Let therefore the persons of authority among you, says he, going down too, if there be anything in this man, accuse him.
[kjv] Let them therefore, said he, which among you are able, go down with me, and accuse this man, if there be any wickedness in him.

[niv] Festus, wishing to do the Jews a favor, said to Paul, "Are you willing to go up to Jerusalem and stand trial before me there on these charges?"
[asv] But Festus, desiring to gain favor with the Jews, answered Paul and said, Wilt thou go up to Jerusalem, and there be judged of these things before me?
[jnd] But Festus, desirous of obliging the Jews, to acquire their favour, answering Paul, said, Art thou willing to go up to Jerusalem, there to be judged before me concerning these things?
[kjv] But Festus, willing to do the Jews a pleasure, answered Paul, and said, Wilt thou go up to Jerusalem, and there be judged of these things before me?

[niv] Paul answered: "I am now standing before Caesar's court, where I ought to be tried. I have not done any wrong to the Jews, as you yourself know very well.
[asv] But Paul said, I am standing before Caesar's judgment-seat, where I ought to be judged: to the Jews have I done no wrong, as thou also very well knowest.

[rsv] But Paul said, "I am standing before Caesar's tribunal, where I ought to be tried; to the Jews I have done no wrong, as you know very well.
[web] . But Paul said, "I am standing before Caesar's judgment seat, where I ought to be tried. I have done no wrong to the Jews, as you also know very well.
[ylt] and Paul said, `At the tribunal of Caesar I am standing, where it behoveth me to be judged; to Jews I did no unrighteousness, as thou dost also very well know;
[bbe] And Paul said, I am before the seat of Caesar's authority where it is right for me to be judged: I have done no wrong to the Jews, as you are well able to see.
25:11
[cbgb] 我若行了不义的事，犯了什么该死的罪，就是死，我也不辞。他们所告我的事若都不实，就没有人可以把我交给他们。我要上告于该撒。 < | >
[niv] If, however, I am guilty of doing anything deserving death, I do not refuse to die. But if the charges brought against me by these Jews are not true, no one has the right to hand me over to them. I appeal to Caesar!"
[asv] If then I am a wrong-doer, and have committed anything worthy of death, I refuse not to die; but if none of those things is true whereof these accuse me, no man can give me up unto them. I appeal unto Caesar.

[niv] After Festus had conferred with his council, he declared: "You have appealed to Caesar. To Caesar you will go!"

[niv] A few days later King Agrippa and Bernice arrived at Caesarea to pay their respects to Festus.
[asv] Now when certain days were passed, Agrippa the King and Bernice arrived at Caesarea, and saluted Festus.
[jnd] And when certain days had elapsed, Agrippa the king and Bernice arrived at Caesarea to salute Festus.
[kjv] And after certain days king Agrippa and Bernice came unto Caesarea to salute Festus.

[niv] "I told them that it is not the Roman custom to hand over any man before he has faced his accusers and has had an opportunity to defend himself against their charges.
[asv] To whom I answered, that it is not the custom of the Romans to give up any man, before that the accused have the accusers face to face, and have had opportunity to make his defense concerning the matter laid against him.
[jnd] to whom I answered, It is not custom of the Romans to give up any man before that the accused have the accusers face to face, and he have got opportunity of defence touching the charge.
[kjv] To whom I answered, It is not the manner of the Romans to deliver any man to die, before that he which is accused have the accusers face to face, and have licence to answer for himself concerning the crime laid against him.
