[cbgb] 主耶和华又指示我一件事。我看见一筐夏天的果子。 >
[niv] This is what the Sovereign LORD showed me: a basket of ripe fruit.
[asv] Thus the Lord Jehovah showed me: and, behold, a basket of summer fruit.

[niv] "What do you see, Amos?" he asked. "A basket of ripe fruit," I answered. Then the LORD said to me, "The time is ripe for my people Israel; I will spare them no longer.
[asv] And he said, Amos, what seest thou? And I said, A basket of summer fruit. Then said Jehovah unto me, The end is come upon my people Israel; I will not again pass by them any more.

[bbe] And he said, Amos, what do you see? And I said, A basket of summer fruit. Then the Lord said to me, The end has come to my people Israel; never again will my eyes be shut to their sin.
8:3
[cbgb] 主耶和华说,那日,殿中的诗歌变为哀号。必有许多尸首在各处抛弃,无人作声。 < | >
[niv] "In that day," declares the Sovereign LORD, "the songs in the temple will turn to wailing. Many, many bodies--flung everywhere! Silence!"
[asv] And the songs of the temple shall be wailings in that day, saith the Lord Jehovah: the dead bodies shall be many: in every place shall they cast them forth with silence.
[jnd] And the songs of the palace shall be howlings in that day, saith the Lord Jehovah. The dead bodies shall be many; in every place they shall be cast forth. Silence!

[cbgb] 你们这些要吞吃穷乏人,使困苦人衰败的,当听我的话。 < | >
[niv] Hear this, you who trample the needy and do away with the poor of the land,
[asv] Hear this, O ye that would swallow up the needy, and cause the poor of the land to fail,

[cbgb] 你们说,月朔几时过去,我们好卖粮。安息日几时过去,我们好摆开麦子,卖出用小升斗,收银用大戥子,用诡诈的天平欺哄人。 < | >
[niv] saying, "When will the New Moon be over that we may sell grain, and the Sabbath be ended that we may market wheat?"-- skimping the measure, boosting the price and cheating with dishonest scales,
[asv] saying, When will the new moon be gone, that we may sell grain? and the sabbath, that we may set forth wheat, making the ephah small, and the shekel great, and dealing falsely with balances of deceit;
[jnd] saying, When will the new moon be gone, that we may sell corn? and the sabbath, that we may set forth wheat? making the ephah small and the shekel great, and falsifying the balances for deceit:

[bbe] Saying, When will the new moon be gone, so that we may do trade in grain? and the Sabbath, so that we may put out in the market the produce of our fields? making the measure small and the price great, and trading falsely with scales of deceit;

[cbgb] 好用银子买贫寒人,用一双鞋换穷乏人,将坏了的麦子卖给人。 < | >
[niv] buying the poor with silver and the needy for a pair of sandals, selling even the sweepings with the wheat.
[asv] that we may buy the poor for silver, and the needy for a pair of shoes, and sell the refuse of the wheat?

[niv] The LORD has sworn by the Pride of Jacob: "I will never forget anything they have done.
[asv] Jehovah hath sworn by the excellency of Jacob, Surely I will never forget any of their works.

[cbgb] 地岂不因这事震动,其上的居民,不也悲哀麽?地必全然像尼罗河涨起,如同埃及河涌上落下。 < | >
[niv] "Will not the land tremble for this, and all who live in it mourn? The whole land will rise like the Nile; it will be stirred up and then sink like the river of Egypt.
[asv] Shall not the land tremble for this, and every one mourn that dwelleth therein? yea, it shall rise up wholly like the River; and it shall be troubled and sink again, like the River of Egypt.

[niv] "In that day," declares the Sovereign LORD, "I will make the sun go down at noon and darken the earth in broad daylight.
[asv] And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord Jehovah, that I will cause the sun to go down at noon, and I will darken the earth in the clear day.

[cbgb] 我必使你们的节期变为悲哀,歌曲变为哀歌。众人腰束麻布,头上光秃,使这场悲哀如丧独生子,至终如痛苦的日子一样。 < | >
[niv] I will turn your religious feasts into mourning and all your singing into weeping. I will make all of you wear sackcloth and shave your heads. I will make that time like mourning for an only son and the end of it like a bitter day.
[asv] And I will turn your feasts into mourning, and all your songs into lamentation; and I will bring sackcloth upon all loins, and baldness upon every head; and I will make it as the mourning for an only son, and the end thereof as a bitter day.

[niv] They who swear by the shame of Samaria, or say, `As surely as your god lives, O Dan,' or, `As surely as the god of Beersheba lives'-- they will fall, never to rise again."
[asv] They that swear by the sin of Samaria, and say, As thy god, O Dan, liveth; and, As the way of Beer-sheba liveth; they shall fall, and never rise up again.

[bbe] Those who make their oaths by the sin of Samaria and say, By the life of your God, O Dan; and, By the living way of Beer-sheba; even they will go down, never again to be lifted up.
