[niv] The word of the LORD came to me:

[cbgb] 人子阿，葡萄树比别样树有什么强处。葡萄枝比众树枝有什么好处。 < | >
[niv] "Son of man, how is the wood of a vine better than that of a branch on any of the trees in the forest?
[asv] Son of man, what is the vine-tree more than any tree, the vine-branch which is among the trees of the forest?
[jnd] Son of man, what is the wood of the vine more than any wood, the vine-branch, which is among the trees of the forest?
[kjv] Son of man, what is the vine tree more than any tree, or than a branch which is among the trees of the forest?
[nwb] Son of man, What is the vine-tree more than any tree, a branch which is among the trees of the forest?
[rsv] "Son of man, how does the wood of the vine surpass any wood, the vine branch which is among the trees of the forest?
[web] Son of man, what is the vine-tree more than any tree, the vine-branch which is among the trees of the forest?
[ylt] `Son of man, What is the vine-tree more than any tree? The vine-branch that hath been, Among trees of the forest?
[bbe] Son of man, what is the vine-tree more than any branching tree which is among the trees of the woods?

[cbgb] 其上可以取木料作什么工用，可以取来作钉子挂什么器皿麽？ < | >
[niv] Is wood ever taken from it to make anything useful? Do they make pegs from it to hang things on?
[asv] Shall wood be taken thereof to make any work? or will men take a pin of it to hang any vessel thereon?
[jnd] Shall wood be taken thereof to do any work? or will take a pin of it to hang any vessel thereon?
[kjv] Shall wood be taken thereof to do any work? or will men take a pin of it to hang any vessel thereon?
[nwb] Shall wood be taken of it to do any work? or will take a pin of it to hang any vessel upon it?
[rsv] Is wood taken from it to make anything? Do men take a peg from it to hang any vessel on?
[web] Shall wood be taken of it to make any work? or will men take a pin of it to hang any vessel thereon?
[ylt] Is wood taken from it to use for work? Do they take of it a pin to hang any vessel on it?
[bbe] Will its wood be used for any work? do men make of it a pin for hanging any vessel on?

[cbgb] 看哪，已经抛在火中当作柴烧，火既烧了两头，中间也被烧了，还有益于工用麽？ < | >
[niv] And after it is thrown on the fire as fuel and the fire burns both ends and chars the middle, is it then useful for anything?
[asv] Behold, it is cast into the fire for fuel; the fire hath devoured both the ends of it, and the midst of it is burned: is it profitable for any work?
[jnd] Behold, it is given to the fire for fuel: the fire consumeth both the ends of it, and the midst of it is burned; is it fit for work?
[kjv] Behold, it is cast into the fire for fuel; the fire devoureth both the ends of it, and the midst of it is burned. Is it meet for any work?
[nwb] Behold, it is cast into the fire for fuel; the fire devoureth both the ends of it, and the midst of it is burned. Is it suitable for work?
[rsv] Lo, it is given to the fire for fuel; when the fire has consumed both ends of it, and the middle of it is charred, is it useful for anything?
[web] Behold, it is cast into the fire for fuel; the fire has devoured both the ends of it, and the midst of it is burned: is it profitable for any work?
[ylt] Lo, to the fire it hath been given for fuel, Its two ends hath the fire eaten, And its midst hath been scorched! Is it profitable for work?
[bbe] See, it is put into the fire for burning: the fire has made a meal of its two ends and the middle part of it is burned; is it good for any work?
15:5
[cbgb] 完全的时候尚且不合乎什么工用，何况被火烧坏，还能合乎什么工用麽？ < | >
[niv] If it was not useful for anything when it was whole, how much less can it be made into something useful when the fire has burned it and it is charred?
[asv] Behold, when it was whole, it was meet for no work: how much less, when the fire hath devoured it, and it is burned, shall it yet be meet for any work!
[jnd] Behold, when it was whole, it was used for no work; how much less when the fire hath consumed it, and it is burned, should it yet be used for any work?
[kjv] Behold, when it was whole, it was meet for no work: how much less shall it be meet yet for any work, when the fire hath devoured it, and it is burned?
[nwb] Behold, when it was whole, it was fit for no work: how much less then shall it be fit for work, when the fire hath devoured it, and it is burned?
[rsv] Behold, when it was whole, it was used for nothing; how much less, when the fire has consumed it and it is charred, can it ever be used for anything!
[web] Behold, when it was whole, it was meet for no work: how much less, when the fire has devoured it, and it is burned, shall it yet be meet for any work!
[ylt] Lo, in its being perfect it is not used for work, How much less, when fire hath eaten of it, And it is scorched, Hath it been used yet for work?
[bbe] Truly, before it was cut down, it was not used for any purpose: how much less, when the fire has made a meal of it and it is burned, will it be made into anything?
15:6
[cbgb] 所以，主耶和华如此说，众树以内的葡萄树，我怎样使它在火中当柴，也必照样待耶路撒冷的居民。 < | >
[niv] "Therefore this is what the Sovereign LORD says: As I have given the wood of the vine among the trees of the forest as fuel for the fire, so will I treat the people living in Jerusalem.
[asv] Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: As the vine-tree among the trees of the forest, which I have given to the fire for fuel, so will I give the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
[jnd] Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: As the wood of the vine among the trees of the forest, which I have given to the fire for fuel, so will I give the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
[kjv] Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; As the vine tree among the trees of the forest, which I have given to the fire for fuel, so will I give the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
[nwb] Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; As the vine-tree among the trees of the forest, which I have given to the fire for fuel, so will I give the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
[rsv] Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: Like the wood of the vine among the trees of the forest, which I have given to the fire for fuel, so will I give up the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
[web] Therefore thus says the Lord Yahweh: As the vine-tree among the trees of the forest, which I have given to the fire for fuel, so will I give the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
[ylt] Therefore, thus said the Lord Jehovah: As the vine-tree among trees of the forest, That I have given to the fire for fuel, So I have given the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
[bbe] For this cause the Lord has said: Like the vine-tree among the trees of the woods which I have given to the fire for burning, so will I give the people of Jerusalem.
15:7
[cbgb] 我必向他们变脸。他们虽从火中出来，火却要烧灭他们。我向他们变脸的时候，你们就知道我是耶和华。 < | >
[niv] I will set my face against them. Although they have come out of the fire, the fire will yet consume them. And when I set my face against them, you will know that I am the LORD.
[asv] And I will set my face against them; they shall go forth from the fire, but the fire shall devour them; and ye shall know that I am Jehovah, when I set my face against them.
[jnd] And I will set my face against them: they shall go forth from fire, and fire shall devour them; and ye shall know that I Jehovah when I set my face against them.
[kjv] And I will set my face against them; they shall go out from one fire, and another fire shall devour them; and ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I set my face against them.
[nwb] And I will set my face against them; they shall go out from fire, and fire shall devour them; and ye shall know that I the LORD, when I set my face against them.
[rsv] And I will set my face against them; though they escape from the fire, the fire shall yet consume them; and you will know that I am the LORD, when I set my face against them.
[web] I will set my face against them; they shall go forth from the fire, but the fire shall devour them; and you shall know that I am Yahweh, when I set my face against them.
[ylt] And I have set My face against them, From the fire they have gone forth, And the fire doth consume them, And ye have known that I Jehovah, In My setting My face against them.
[bbe] And my face will be turned against them; and though they have come out of the fire they will be burned up by it; and it will be clear to you that I am the Lord when my face is turned against them.
15:8
[cbgb] 我必使地土荒凉，因为他们行事干犯我。这是主耶和华说的。 <
[niv] I will make the land desolate because they have been unfaithful, declares the Sovereign LORD."
[asv] And I will make the land desolate, because they have committed a trespass, saith the Lord Jehovah.
[jnd] And I will make the land a desolation, because they have wrought unfaithfulness, saith the Lord Jehovah.
[kjv] And I will make the land desolate, because they have committed a trespass, saith the Lord GOD.
[nwb] And I will make the land desolate, because they have committed a trespass, saith the Lord GOD.
[rsv] And I will make the land desolate, because they have acted faithlessly, says the Lord GOD."
[web] I will make the land desolate, because they have committed a trespass, says the Lord Yahweh.
[ylt] And I have made the land a desolation, Because they have committed a trespass, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah!'
[bbe] And I will make the land a waste because they have done evil, says the Lord.
