[niv] Some time later God tested Abraham. He said to him, "Abraham!" "Here I am," he replied.

22:2

[niv] Then God said, "Take your son, your only son, Isaac, whom you love, and go to the region of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains I will tell you about."
[asv] And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son, whom thou lovest, even Isaac, and get thee into the land of Moriah. And offer him there for a burnt-offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.
[jnd] And he said, Take now thy son, thine only , whom thou lovest, Isaac, and get thee into the land of Moriah, and there offer him up for a burnt-offering on one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.

[ylt] And He saith, `Take, I pray thee, thy son, thine only one, whom thou hast loved, even Isaac, and go for thyself unto the land of Moriah, and cause him to ascend there for a burnt-offering on one of the mountains of which I speak unto thee.'
[bbe] And he said to him, Take your son, your dearly loved only son Isaac, and go to the land of Moriah and give him as a burned offering on one of the mountains of which I will give you knowledge.

[niv] Early the next morning Abraham got up and saddled his donkey. He took with him two of his servants and his son Isaac. When he had cut enough wood for the burnt offering, he set out for the place God had told him about.

[bbe] And Abraham got up early in the morning, and made ready his ass, and took with him two of his young men and Isaac, his son, and after the wood for the burned offering had been cut, he went on his way to the place of which God had given him word.

[niv] On the third day Abraham looked up and saw the place in the distance.

[niv] He said to his servants, "Stay here with the donkey while I and the boy go over there. We will worship and then we will come back to you."

[niv] Abraham took the wood for the burnt offering and placed it on his son Isaac, and he himself carried the fire and the knife. As the two of them went on together,
[asv] And Abraham took the wood of the burnt-offering, and laid it upon Isaac his son. And he took in his hand the fire and the knife. And they went both of them together.

[niv] Isaac spoke up and said to his father Abraham, "Father?" "Yes, my son?" Abraham replied. "The fire and wood are here," Isaac said, "but where is the lamb for the burnt offering?"
[asv] And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said, My father. And he said, Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold, the fire and the wood. But where is the lamb for a burnt-offering?
[jnd] And Isaac spoke to Abraham his father, and said, My father! And he said, Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood; but where is the sheep for a burnt-offering?

[niv] When they reached the place God had told him about, Abraham built an altar there and arranged the wood on it. He bound his son Isaac and laid him on the altar, on top of the wood.
[asv] And they came to the place which God had told him of. And Abraham built the altar there, and laid the wood in order, and bound Isaac his son, and laid him on the altar, upon the wood.

[niv] Then he reached out his hand and took the knife to slay his son.

[niv] But the angel of the LORD called out to him from heaven, "Abraham! Abraham!" "Here I am," he replied.

22:12
[cbgb] 天使说，你不可在这童子身上下手。一点不可害他。现在我知道你是敬畏　神的了。因为你没有将你的儿子，就是你独生的儿子，留下不给我。 < | >
[niv] "Do not lay a hand on the boy," he said. "Do not do anything to him. Now I know that you fear God, because you have not withheld from me your son, your only son."
[asv] And he said, Lay not thy hand upon the lad, neither do thou anything unto him. For now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son, from me.
[jnd] And he said, Stretch not out thy hand against the lad, neither do anything to him; for now I know that thou fearest God, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only , from me.
[kjv] And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me.
[nwb] And he said, Lay not thy hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing to him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld from me thy son, thy only .
[rsv] He said, "Do not lay your hand on the lad or do anything to him; for now I know that you fear God, seeing you have not withheld your son, your only son, from me."
[web] . He said, "Don't lay your hand on the boy, neither do anything to him. For now I know that you fear God, seeing you have not withheld your son, your only son, from me."
[ylt] and He saith, `Put not forth thine hand unto the youth, nor do anything to him, for now I have known that thou art fearing God, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only one, from Me.'
[bbe] And he said, Let not your hand be stretched out against the boy to do anything to him; for now I am certain that the fear of God is in your heart, because you have not kept back your son, your only son, from me.

[niv] Abraham looked up and there in a thicket he saw a ram caught by its horns. He went over and took the ram and sacrificed it as a burnt offering instead of his son.
[asv] And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold, behind him a ram caught in the thicket by his horns. And Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt-offering in the stead of his son.

[bbe] And lifting up his eyes, Abraham saw a sheep fixed by its horns in the brushwood: and Abraham took the sheep and made a burned offering of it in place of his son.
22:14
[cbgb] 亚伯拉罕给那地方起名叫耶和华以勒（就是耶和华必预备），直到今日人还说，在耶和华的山上必有预备。 < | >
[niv] So Abraham called that place The LORD Will Provide. And to this day it is said, "On the mountain of the LORD it will be provided."
[asv] And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovah-jireh. As it is said to this day, In the mount of Jehovah it shall be provided.
[jnd] And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovah-jireh; as it is said at the present day, On the mount of Jehovah will be provided.
[kjv] And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovahjireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen.
[nwb] And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovah-jireh: as it is said this day, In the mount of the LORD it will be seen.
[rsv] So Abraham called the name of that place The LORD will provide; as it is said to this day, "On the mount of the LORD it shall be provided."
[web] Abraham called the name of that place Yahweh-jireh. As it is said to this day, "In Yahweh's mountain it will be provided.
[ylt] and Abraham calleth the name of that place `Jehovah-Jireh,' because it is said this day in the mount, `Jehovah doth provide.'
[bbe] And Abraham gave that place the name Yahweh-yireh: as it is said to this day, In the mountain the Lord is seen.
22:15

[niv] The angel of the LORD called to Abraham from heaven a second time
[asv] And the angel of Jehovah called unto Abraham a second time out of heaven,

[niv] and said, "I swear by myself, declares the LORD, that because you have done this and have not withheld your son, your only son,
[asv] and said, By myself have I sworn, saith Jehovah, because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son,
[jnd] and said, By myself I swear, saith Jehovah, that, because thou hast done this, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only ,
[kjv] And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son:
[nwb] And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thy only
[rsv] and said, "By myself I have sworn, says the LORD, because you have done this, and have not withheld your son, your only son,
[web] and said, "I have sworn by myself, says Yahweh, because you have done this thing, and have not withheld your son, your only son,
[ylt] and saith, `By Myself I have sworn -- the affirmation of Jehovah -- that because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only one --
[bbe] Saying, I have taken an oath by my name, says the Lord, because you have done this and have not kept back from me your dearly loved only son,
22:17
[cbgb] 论福，我必赐大福给你。论子孙，我必叫你的子孙多起来，如同天上的星，海边的沙。你子孙必得着仇敌的城门， < | >
[niv] I will surely bless you and make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as the sand on the seashore. Your descendants will take possession of the cities of their enemies,
[asv] that in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heavens, and as the sand which is upon the seashore. And thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies.
[jnd] I will richly bless thee, and greatly multiply thy seed, as the stars of heaven, and as the sand that is on the sea-shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;
[kjv] That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;

[bbe] That I will certainly give you my blessing, and your seed will be increased like the stars of heaven and the sand by the seaside; your seed will take the land of those who are against them;
22:18
[cbgb] 并且地上万国都必因你的后裔得福，因为你听从了我的话。 < | >
[niv] and through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed, because you have obeyed me."
[asv] And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed. Because thou hast obeyed my voice.
[jnd] and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth bless themselves, because thou hast hearkened to my voice.

[niv] Bethuel became the father of Rebekah. Milcah bore these eight sons to Abraham's brother Nahor.
[asv] And Bethuel begat Rebekah. These eight did Milcah bear to Nahor, Abraham's brother.
[jnd] (And Bethuel begot Rebecca.) These eight Milcah bore to Nahor, Abraham's brother.
