[niv] "Listen to this, O house of Jacob, you who are called by the name of Israel and come from the line of Judah, you who take oaths in the name of the LORD and invoke the God of Israel-- but not in truth or righteousness--
[asv] Hear ye this, O house of Jacob, who are called by the name of Israel, and are come forth out of the waters of Judah; who swear by the name of Jehovah, and make mention of the God of Israel, but not in truth, nor in righteousness
[jnd] Hear ye this, house of Jacob, who are called by the name of Israel, and are come forth out of the waters of Judah, who swear by the name of Jehovah, and make mention of the God of Israel, not in truth, nor in righteousness.
[kjv] Hear ye this, O house of Jacob, which are called by the name of Israel, and are come forth out of the waters of Judah, which swear by the name of the LORD, and make mention of the God of Israel, but not in truth, nor in righteousness.
[nwb] Hear ye this, O house of Jacob, who are called by the name of Israel, and have come forth out of the waters of Judah, who swear by the name of the LORD, and make mention of the God of Israel, not in truth, nor in righteousness.
[rsv] Hear this, O house of Jacob, who are called by the name of Israel, and who came forth from the loins of Judah; who swear by the name of the LORD, and confess the God of Israel, but not in truth or right.
[web] . Hear you this, house of Jacob, who are called by the name of Israel, and are come forth out of the waters of Judah; who swear by the name of Yahweh, and make mention of the God of Israel, but not in truth, nor in righteousness
[ylt] Hear ye this, O house of Jacob, Who are called by the name of Israel, And from the waters of Judah came out, Who are swearing by the name of Jehovah, And of the God of Israel make mention, Not in truth nor in righteousness.
[bbe] Give ear to this, O family of Jacob, you who are named by the name of Israel, and have come out of the body of Judah; who take oaths by the name of the Lord, and make use of the name of the God of Israel, but not truly and not in good faith.
48:2

[niv] you who call yourselves citizens of the holy city and rely on the God of Israel-- the LORD Almighty is his name:
[asv] (for they call themselves of the holy city, and stay themselves upon the God of Israel; Jehovah of hosts is his name):
[jnd] For they are named after the holy city, and stay themselves upon the God of Israel: Jehovah of hosts is his name.
[kjv] For they call themselves of the holy city, and stay themselves upon the God of Israel; The LORD of hosts is his name.
[nwb] For they call themselves of the holy city, and stay themselves upon the God of Israel; The LORD of hosts his name.
[rsv] For they call themselves after the holy city, and stay themselves on the God of Israel; the LORD of hosts is his name.
[web] (for they call themselves of the holy city, and stay themselves on the God of Israel; Yahweh of Hosts is his name):
[ylt] For from the Holy City they have been called, And on the God of Israel been supported, Jehovah of Hosts His name.
[bbe] For they say that they are of the holy town, and put their faith in the God of Israel: the Lord of armies is his name.
48:3
[cbgb] 主说,早先的事我从古时说明,已经出了我的口,也是我所指示的,我忽然行作,事便成就。 < | >
[niv] I foretold the former things long ago, my mouth announced them and I made them known; then suddenly I acted, and they came to pass.
[asv] I have declared the former things from of old; yea, they went forth out of my mouth, and I showed them: suddenly I did them, and they came to pass.
[jnd] I have declared the former things long ago; and they went forth out of my mouth, and I caused them to be heard: I wrought suddenly, and they came to pass.
[kjv] I have declared the former things from the beginning; and they went forth out of my mouth, and I shewed them; I did them suddenly, and they came to pass.
[nwb] I have declared the former things from the beginning; and they went forth from my mouth, and I showed them; I did suddenly, and they came to pass.
[rsv] "The former things I declared of old, they went forth from my mouth and I made them known; then suddenly I did them and they came to pass.
[web] I have declared the former things from of old; yes, they went forth out of my mouth, and I showed them: suddenly I did them, and they happened.
[ylt] The former things from that time I declared, And from my mouth they have gone forth, And I proclaim them, Suddenly I have done, and it cometh.
[bbe] I gave word in the past of the things which came about; they came from my mouth, and I made them clear: suddenly I did them, and they came about.
48:4
[cbgb] 因为我素来知道你是顽梗的,你的颈项是铁的,你的额是铜的, < | >
[niv] For I knew how stubborn you were; the sinews of your neck were iron, your forehead was bronze.
[asv] Because I knew that thou art obstinate, and thy neck is an iron sinew, and thy brow brass;
[jnd] Because I knew that thou art obstinate, and thy neck is an iron sinew, and thy brow brass,
[kjv] Because I knew that thou art obstinate, and thy neck is an iron sinew, and thy brow brass;
[nwb] Because I knew that thou obstinate, and thy neck an iron sinew, and thy brow brass;
[rsv] Because I know that you are obstinate, and your neck is an iron sinew and your forehead brass,
[web] Because I knew that you are obstinate, and your neck is an iron sinew, and your brow brass;
[ylt] From my knowing that thou art obstinate, And a sinew of iron thy neck, And thy forehead brass,
[bbe] Because I saw that your heart was hard, and that your neck was an iron cord, and your brow brass;
48:5
[cbgb] 所以我从古时将这事给你说明,在未痴以先指示你,免得你说,这些事是我的偶像所行的,是我雕刻的偶像,和我铸造的偶像所命定的。 < | >
[niv] Therefore I told you these things long ago; before they happened I announced them to you so that you could not say, `My idols did them; my wooden image and metal god ordained them.'
[asv] therefore I have declared it to thee from of old; before it came to pass I showed it thee; lest thou shouldest say, Mine idol hath done them, and my graven image, and my molten image, hath commanded them.
[jnd] so I have long ago declared to thee; before they came to pass I caused thee to hear ; lest thou shouldest say, Mine idol hath done them, and my graven image, or my molten image hath commanded them.
[kjv] I have even from the beginning declared it to thee; before it came to pass I shewed it thee: lest thou shouldest say, Mine idol hath done them, and my graven image, and my molten image, hath commanded them.
[nwb] I have even from the beginning declared to thee; before it came to pass I showed thee: lest thou shouldst say, My idol hath done them, and my graven image, and my molten image, hath commanded them.
[rsv] I declared them to you from of old, before they came to pass I announced them to you, lest you should say, 'My idol did them, my graven image and my molten image commanded them.'
[web] therefore I have declared it to you from of old; before it came to pass I showed it you; lest you should say, My idol has done them, and my engraved image, and my molten image, has commanded them.
[ylt] And I declare to thee from that time, Before it cometh I have caused thee to hear, Lest thou say, `Mine idol hath done them, And my graven image, And my molten image did command them.
[bbe] For this reason I made it clear to you in the past, before it came I gave you word of it: for fear that you might say, My god did these things, and my pictured and metal images made them come about.
48:6
[cbgb] 你已经听见,现在要看见这一切,你不说明麽,从今以后,我将新事就是你所不知道的隐密事,指示你。 < | >
[niv] You have heard these things; look at them all. Will you not admit them? "From now on I will tell you of new things, of hidden things unknown to you.
[asv] Thou hast heard it; behold all this; and ye, will ye not declare it? I have showed thee new things from this time, even hidden things, which thou hast not known.
[jnd] Thou heardest, see all this; -- and ye, will not ye declare ? I have caused thee to hear new things from this time, and things hidden, and that thou knewest not:
[kjv] Thou hast heard, see all this; and will not ye declare it? I have shewed thee new things from this time, even hidden things, and thou didst not know them.
[nwb] Thou hast heard, see all this; and will not ye declare ? I have showed ye new things from this time, even hidden things, and thou didst not know them.
[rsv] "You have heard; now see all this; and will you not declare it? From this time forth I make you hear new things, hidden things which you have not known.
[web] You have heard it; see all this; and you, will you not declare it? I have showed you new things from this time, even hidden things, which you have not known.
[ylt] Thou hast heard, see the whole of it, And ye, do ye not declare? I have caused thee to hear new things from this time, And things reserved that ye knew not.
[bbe] All this has come to your ears and you have seen it; will you not give witness to it? I am now making clear new things, even secret things, of which you had no knowledge.
48:7
[cbgb] 这事是现今造的,并非从古就有,在今日以先,你也未曾听见,免得你说,这事我早已知道了。 < | >
[niv] They are created now, and not long ago; you have not heard of them before today. So you cannot say, `Yes, I knew of them.'
[asv] They are created now, and not from of old; and before this day thou heardest them not; lest thou shouldest say, Behold, I knew them.
[jnd] they are created now, and not long ago; and before this day thou hast not heard them, lest thou shouldest say, Behold, I knew them.
[kjv] They are created now, and not from the beginning; even before the day when thou heardest them not; lest thou shouldest say, Behold, I knew them.
[nwb] They are created now, and not from the beginning; even before the day when thou heardst them not; lest thou shouldst say, Behold, I knew them.

[ylt] Now they have been produced and not from that time, Yea, before the day, and thou hast not heard them, Lest thou say, `Lo, I have known them.'
[bbe] They have only now been effected, and not in the past: and before this day they had not come to your ears; for fear that you might say, I had knowledge of them.
48:8
[cbgb] 你未曾听见,未曾知道,你的耳朵从来未曾开通。我原知道你行事极其诡诈,你自从出胎以来,便称为悖逆的。 < | >
[niv] You have neither heard nor understood; from of old your ear has not been open. Well do I know how treacherous you are; you were called a rebel from birth.
[asv] Yea, thou heardest not; yea, thou knewest not; yea, from of old thine ear was not opened: for I knew that thou didst deal very treacherously, and wast called a transgressor from the womb.
[jnd] Yea, thou heardest not, yea, thou knewest not, yea, from of old thine ear was not opened; for I knew that thou wouldest ever deal treacherously, and thou wast called a transgressor from the womb.
[kjv] Yea, thou heardest not; yea, thou knewest not; yea, from that time that thine ear was not opened: for I knew that thou wouldest deal very treacherously, and wast called a transgressor from the womb.
[nwb] Yes, thou heardst not; yes, thou knewest not; yes, from that time thy ear was not opened: for I knew that thou wouldst deal very treacherously, and wast called a transgressor from the womb.
[rsv] You have never heard, you have never known, from of old your ear has not been opened. For I knew that you would deal very treacherously, and that from birth you were called a rebel.
[web] Yes, you didn't hear; yes, you didn't know; yes, from of old your ear was not opened: for I knew that you did deal very treacherously, and was called a transgressor from the womb.
[ylt] Yea, thou hast not heard, Yea, thou hast not known, Yea, from that time not opened hath thine ear, For I have known thou dealest treacherously, And `Transgressor from the belly,' One is crying to thee.
[bbe] Truly you had no word of them, no knowledge of them; no news of them in the past had come to your ears; because I saw how false was your behaviour, and that your heart was turned against me from your earliest days.
