[niv] Again the Israelites did evil in the eyes of the LORD. They served the Baals and the Ashtoreths, and the gods of Aram, the gods of Sidon, the gods of Moab, the gods of the Ammonites and the gods of the Philistines. And because the Israelites forsook the LORD and no longer served him,
[asv] And the children of Israel again did that which was evil in the sight of Jehovah, and served the Baalim, and the Ashtaroth, and the gods of Syria, and the gods of Sidon, and the gods of Moab, and the gods of the children of Ammon, and the gods of the Philistines; and they forsook Jehovah, and served him not.

[bbe] And again the children of Israel did evil in the eyes of the Lord, worshipping the Baals and Astartes, and the gods of Aram and the gods of Zidon and the gods of Moab and the gods of the children of Ammon and the gods of the Philistines; they gave up the Lord and were servants to him no longer.

[niv] he became angry with them. He sold them into the hands of the Philistines and the Ammonites,
[asv] And the anger of Jehovah was kindled against Israel, and he sold them into the hand of the Philistines, and into the hand of the children of Ammon.

[niv] who that year shattered and crushed them. For eighteen years they oppressed all the Israelites on the east side of the Jordan in Gilead, the land of the Amorites.
[asv] And they vexed and oppressed the children of Israel that year: eighteen years oppressed they all the children of Israel that were beyond the Jordan in the land of the Amorites, which is in Gilead.

[niv] The Ammonites also crossed the Jordan to fight against Judah, Benjamin and the house of Ephraim; and Israel was in great distress.

[niv] Then the Israelites cried out to the LORD, "We have sinned against you, forsaking our God and serving the Baals."
[asv] And the children of Israel cried unto Jehovah, saying, We have sinned against thee, even because we have forsaken our God, and have served the Baalim.

[niv] The LORD replied, "When the Egyptians, the Amorites, the Ammonites, the Philistines,
[asv] And Jehovah said unto the children of Israel, Did not I save you from the Egyptians, and from the Amorites, from the children of Ammon, and from the Philistines?
[jnd] And Jehovah said to the children of Israel, Did I not from the Egyptians, and from the Amorites, from the children of Ammon, and from the Philistines?
[kjv] And the LORD said unto the children of Israel, Did not I deliver you from the Egyptians, and from the Amorites, from the children of Ammon, and from the Philistines?

[ylt] And Jehovah saith unto the sons of Israel, `not from the Egyptians, and from the Amorite, from the Bene-Ammon, and from the Philistines?

[niv] the Sidonians, the Amalekites and the Maonites oppressed you and you cried to me for help, did I not save you from their hands?
[asv] The Sidonians also, and the Amalekites, and the Maonites, did oppress you; and ye cried unto me, and I saved you out of their hand.
[jnd] The Zidonians also, and Amalek and Maon oppressed you, and ye cried to me, and I saved you out of their hand.

[niv] Go and cry out to the gods you have chosen. Let them save you when you are in trouble!"

[asv] And the people, the princes of Gilead, said one to another, What man is he that will begin to fight against the children of Ammon? he shall be head over all the inhabitants of Gilead.
[jnd] And the people, the chief men of Gilead, said one to another, Who is the man that will begin to fight against the children of Ammon? he shall be head over all the inhabitants of Gilead.
