[asv] Peter, turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved following; who also leaned back on his breast at the supper, and said, Lord, who is he that betrayeth thee?
[jnd] Peter, turning round, sees the disciple whom Jesus loved following, who also leaned at supper on his breast, and said, Lord, who is it that delivers thee up?
[kjv] Then Peter, turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved following; which also leaned on his breast at supper, and said, Lord, which is he that betrayeth thee?
[nwb] Then Peter turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved, following; (who also leaned on his breast at supper, and said, Lord, who is he that betrayeth thee?)
[rsv] Peter turned and saw following them the disciple whom Jesus loved, who had lain close to his breast at the supper and had said, "Lord, who is it that is going to betray you?"
[web] . Then Peter, turning around, saw a disciple following. This was the disciple whom Jesus sincerely loved, the one who had also leaned on Jesus' breast at the supper and asked, "Lord, who is going to betray You?"
[ylt] And Peter having turned about doth see the disciple whom Jesus was loving following, (who also reclined in the supper on his breast, and said, `Sir, who is he who is delivering thee up?')
[bbe] Then Peter, turning round, saw the disciple who was dear to Jesus coming after them--the disciple who was resting on his breast at the last meal, and said, Lord, who is it who will be false to you?
21:21
[cbgb] 彼得看见他,就问耶稣说,主阿,这人将来如何。 < | >
[niv] When Peter saw him, he asked, "Lord, what about him?"
[asv] Peter therefore seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do?
[jnd] Peter, seeing him, says to Jesus, Lord, and what this ?
[kjv] Peter seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do?
[nwb] Peter seeing him, saith to Jesus, Lord, and what this man ?
[rsv] When Peter saw him, he said to Jesus, "Lord, what about this man?"
[web] Peter seeing him, said to Jesus, "Lord, and what will this man do?"
[ylt] Peter having seen this one, saith to Jesus, `Lord, and what of this one?'
[bbe] Seeing him, Peter said to Jesus, What about this man?
21:22
[cbgb] 耶稣对他说,我若要他等到我来的时候,与你何干。你跟从我吧。 < | >
[niv] Jesus answered, "If I want him to remain alive until I return, what is that to you? You must follow me."
[asv] Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? Follow thou me.
[jnd] Jesus says to him, If I will that he abide until I come, what to thee? Follow thou me.
[kjv] Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? follow thou me.
[nwb] Jesus saith to him, If I will that he shall tarry till I come, what to thee? Follow thou me.
[rsv] Jesus said to him, "If it is my will that he remain until I come, what is that to you? Follow me!"
[web] . Jesus said to him, "If I desire that he stay until I come, what is that to you? You follow me."
[ylt] Jesus saith to him, `If him I will to remain till I come, what -- to thee? be thou following me.' This word, therefore, went forth to the brethren that that disciple doth not die,
[bbe] Jesus said to him, If it is my desire for him to be here till I come back, what is that to you? come yourself after me.
21:23
[cbgb] 于是这话传在弟兄中间,说那门徒不死。其实耶稣不是说他不死。乃是说我若要他等到我来的时候,与你何干。 < | >
[niv] Because of this, the rumor spread among the brothers that this disciple would not die. But Jesus did not say that he would not die; he only said, "If I want him to remain alive until I return, what is that to you?"
[asv] This saying therefore went forth among the brethren, that that disciple should not die: yet Jesus said not unto him, that he should not die; but, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee?
[jnd] This word therefore went out among the brethren, That disciple does not die. And Jesus did not say to him, He does not die; but, If I will that he abide until I come, what to thee?
[kjv] Then went this saying abroad among the brethren, that that disciple should not die: yet Jesus said not unto him, He shall not die; but, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee?
[nwb] Then this saying went abroad among the brethren, that that disciple should not die: yet Jesus said not to him, He shall not die; but, if I will that he shall tarry till I come, what to thee?
[rsv] The saying spread abroad among the brethren that this disciple was not to die; yet Jesus did not say to him that he was not to die, but, "If it is my will that he remain until I come, what is that to you?"
[web] This saying therefore went forth among the brothers, that that disciple wouldn't die. Yet Jesus didn't say to him that he wouldn't die, but, "If I desire that he stay until I come, what is that to you?"
[ylt] yet Jesus did not say to him, that he doth not die, but, `If him I will to remain till I come, what -- to thee?'
[bbe] So this saying went about among the brothers that this disciple would not undergo death: Jesus, however, did not say that he would not undergo death, but, If it is my desire for him to be here till I come back, what is that to you?
21:24
[cbgb] 为这些事作见证,并且记载这些事的,就是这门徒。我们也知道他的见证是真的。 < | >
[niv] This is the disciple who testifies to these things and who wrote them down. We know that his testimony is true.
[asv] This is the disciple that beareth witness of these things, and wrote these things: and we know that his witness is true.
[jnd] This is the disciple who bears witness concerning these things, and who has written these things; and we know that his witness is true.
[kjv] This is the disciple which testifieth of these things, and wrote these things: and we know that his testimony is true.
[nwb] This is the disciple who testifieth of these things, and wrote these things: and we know that his testimony is true.
[rsv] This is the disciple who is bearing witness to these things, and who has written these things; and we know that his testimony is true.
[web] This is the disciple who testifies about these things, and wrote these things. We know that his witness is true.
[ylt] this is the disciple who is testifying concerning these things, and he wrote these things, and we have known that his testimony is true.
[bbe] This is the disciple who gives witness about these things and who put them in writing: and we have knowledge that his witness is true.
21:25
[cbgb] 耶稣所行的事,还有许多,若是一一的都写出来,我想所写的书,就是世界也容不下去了。 <
[niv] Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written.
[asv] And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself would not contain the books that should be written.
[jnd] And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which if they were written one by one, I suppose that not even the world itself would contain the books written.
[kjv] And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should
[nwb] And there are also many other things which Jesus did, which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that would be written. Amen.
[rsv] But there are also many other things which Jesus did; were every one of them to be written, I suppose that the world itself could not contain the books that would be written.
[web] There are also many other things which Jesus did, which if they would all be written, I suppose that even the world itself wouldn't contain the books that would be written.
[ylt] And there are also many other things -- as many as Jesus did -- which, if they may be written one by one, not even the world itself I think to have place for the books written. Amen.
[bbe] And Jesus did such a number of other things that, if every one was recorded, it is my opinion that even the world itself is not great enough for the books there would be.
