[niv]	Edom may say, "Though we have been crushed, we will rebuild the ruins." But this is what the LORD Almighty says: "They may build, but I will demolish. They will be called the Wicked Land, a people always under the wrath of the LORD.
[asv]	Whereas Edom saith, We are beaten down, but we will return and build the waste places; thus saith Jehovah of hosts, They shall build, but I will throw down; and men shall call them The border of wickedness, and The people against whom Jehovah hath indignation for ever.
[jnd]	If Edom say, We are broken down, but we will build again the ruined places, -- thus saith Jehovah of hosts: They shall build, but I will throw down; and shall call them the territory of wickedness, and the people against whom Jehovah hath indignation for ever.

[niv]	You will see it with your own eyes and say, `Great is the LORD--even beyond the borders of Israel!'
[asv]	And your eyes shall see, and ye shall say, Jehovah be magnified beyond the border of Israel.

[niv]	"A son honors his father, and a servant his master. If I am a father, where is the honor due me? If I am a master, where is the respect due me?" says the LORD Almighty. "It is you, O priests, who show contempt for my name. "But you ask, `How have we shown contempt for your name?'
[asv]	A son honoreth his father, and a servant his master: if then I am a father, where is mine honor? and if I am a master, where is my fear? saith Jehovah of hosts unto you, O priests, that despise my name. And ye say, Wherein have we despised thy name?

[niv]	"You place defiled food on my altar. "But you ask, `How have we defiled you?' "By saying that the LORD's table is contemptible.
[asv]	Ye offer polluted bread upon mine altar. And ye say, Wherein have we polluted thee? In that ye say, The table of Jehovah is contemptible.

[bbe]	You put unclean bread on my altar. And you say, How have we made it unclean? By your saying, The table of the Lord is of no value.

[cbgb]	你们将瞎眼的献为祭物，这不为恶麽？将瘸腿的，有病的献上，这不为恶麽？你献给你的省长，他岂喜悦你，岂能看你的情面麽？这是万军之耶和华说的。 < \| >
[niv]	When you bring blind animals for sacrifice, is that not wrong? When you sacrifice crippled or diseased animals, is that not wrong? Try offering them to your governor! Would he be pleased with you? Would he accept you?" says the LORD Almighty.
[asv]	And when ye offer the blind for sacrifice, it is no evil! and when ye offer the lame and sick, it is no evil! Present it now unto thy governor; will he be pleased with thee? or will he accept thy person? saith Jehovah of hosts.
[jnd]	And if ye offer the blind for sacrifice, is it not evil? And if ye offer the lame and sick, is it not evil? Present it now unto thy governor: will he be pleased with thee? or will he accept thy person? saith Jehovah of hosts.

[rsv]	When you offer blind animals in sacrifice, is that no evil? And when you offer those that are lame or sick, is that no evil? Present that to your governor; will he be pleased with you or show you favor? says the LORD of hosts.

[ylt]	And when ye bring nigh the blind for sacrifice, `There is no evil,' And when ye bring nigh the lame and sick, `There is no evil;' Bring it near, I pray thee, to thy governor -- Doth he accept thee? or doth he lift up thy face? Said Jehovah of Hosts.
[bbe]	And when you give what is blind for an offering, it is no evil! and when you give what is damaged and ill, it is no evil! Give it now to your ruler; will he be pleased with you, or will you have his approval? says the Lord of armies.

[cbgb]	现在我劝你们恳求　神，他好施恩与我们。这妄献的事，既由你们经手，他岂能看你们的情面麽？这是万军之耶和华说的。 < \| >
[niv]	"Now implore God to be gracious to us. With such offerings from your hands, will he accept you?"--says the LORD Almighty.
[asv]	And now, I pray you, entreat the favor of God, that he may be gracious unto us: this hath been by your means: will he accept any of your persons? saith Jehovah of hosts.
[jnd]	And now, I pray you, beseech 鵊od that he will be gracious unto us. This hath been of your hand: will he accept any of your persons? saith Jehovah of hosts.
[kjv]	And now, I pray you, beseech God that he will be gracious unto us: this hath been by your means: will he regard your persons? saith the LORD of hosts.
[nwb]	And now, I pray you, beseech God that he will be gracious to us: this hath been by your means: will he regard your person? saith the LORD of hosts.
[rsv]	And now entreat the favor of God, that he may be gracious to us. With such a gift from your hand, will he show favor to any of you? says the LORD of hosts.

[ylt]	And now, appease, I pray thee, the face of God, And He doth favour us; From your own hand hath this been, Doth He accept of you appearances? Said Jehovah of Hosts.
[bbe]	And now, make request for the grace of God so that he may have mercy on us: this has been your doing: will he give his approval to any of you? says the Lord of armies.

[cbgb]	甚愿你们中间有一人关上殿门，免得你们徒然在我坛上烧火。万军之耶和华说，我不喜悦你们，也不从你们手中收纳供物。 < \| >
[niv]	"Oh, that one of you would shut the temple doors, so that you would not light useless fires on my altar! I am not pleased with you," says the LORD Almighty, "and I will accept no offering from your hands.
[asv]	Oh that there were one among you that would shut the doors, that ye might not kindle fire on mine altar in vain! I have no pleasure in you, saith Jehovah of hosts, neither will I accept an offering at your hand.
[jnd]	Who is there among you that would even shut the doors? and ye would not kindle on mine altar for nothing. I have no delight in you, saith Jehovah of hosts, neither will I accept an oblation at your hand.
[kjv]	Who is there even among you that would shut the doors for nought? neither do ye kindle fire on mine altar for nought. I have no pleasure in you, saith the LORD of hosts, neither will I accept an offering at your hand.

[bbe]	If only there was one among you who would see that the doors were shut, so that you might not put a light to the fire on my altar for nothing! I have no pleasure in you, says the Lord of armies, and I will not take an offering from your hands.

[niv]	My name will be great among the nations, from the rising to the setting of the sun. In every place incense and pure offerings will be brought to my name, because my name will be great among the nations," says the LORD Almighty.
[asv]	For from the rising of the sun even unto the going down of the same my name shall be great among the Gentiles; and in every place incense shall be offered unto my name, and a pure offering: for my name shall be great among the Gentiles, saith Jehovah of hosts.
[jnd]	For from the rising of the sun even unto its setting my name shall be great among the nations; and in every place incense shall be offered unto my name, and a pure oblation: for my name shall be great among the nations, saith Jehovah of hosts.

[niv]	"But you profane it by saying of the Lord's table, `It is defiled,' and of its food, `It is contemptible.'
[asv]	But ye profane it, in that ye say, The table of Jehovah is polluted, and the fruit thereof, even its food, is contemptible.
[jnd]	But ye profane it, in that ye say, The table of the Lord is polluted; and the fruit thereof, his food, is contemptible.
[kjv]	But ye have profaned it, in that ye say, The table of the LORD is polluted; and the fruit thereof, even his meat, is contemptible.

[cbgb]	你们又说，这些事何等烦琐。并嗤之以鼻。这是万军之耶和华说的。你们把抢夺的，瘸腿的，有病的拿来献上为祭。我岂能从你们手中收纳呢？这是耶和华说的。 < \| >
[niv]	And you say, `What a burden!' and you sniff at it contemptuously," says the LORD Almighty. "When you bring injured, crippled or diseased animals and offer them as sacrifices, should I accept them from your hands?" says the LORD.
[asv]	Ye say also, Behold, what a weariness is it! and ye have snuffed at it, saith Jehovah of hosts; and ye have brought that which was taken by violence, and the lame, and the sick; thus ye bring the offering: should I accept this at your hand? saith Jehovah.
[jnd]	And ye say, Behold, what a weariness! And ye have puffed at it, saith Jehovah of hosts, and ye bring torn, and the lame, and the sick; thus ye bring the oblation: should I accept this of your hand? saith Jehovah.

[ylt]	And ye have said, `Lo, what a weariness,' And ye have puffed at it, said Jehovah of Hosts, And ye have brought in plunder, And the lame and the sick, And ye have brought in the present! Do I accept it from your hand? said Jehovah.
[bbe]	And you say, See, what a weariness it is! and you let out your breath at it, says the Lord of armies; and you have given what has been cut about by beasts, and what is damaged in its feet and ill; this is the offering you give: will this be pleasing to me from your hands? says the Lord.

[cbgb]	行诡诈的在群中有公羊，他许愿却用有残疾的献给主，这人是可咒诅的。因为我是大君王，我的名在外邦中是可畏的。这是万军之耶和华说的。 <
[niv]	"Cursed is the cheat who has an acceptable male in his flock and vows to give it, but then sacrifices a blemished animal to the Lord. For I am a great king," says the LORD Almighty, "and my name is to be feared among the nations.
[asv]	But cursed be the deceiver, who hath in his flock a male, and voweth, and sacrificeth unto the Lord a blemished thing; for I am a great King, saith Jehovah of hosts, and my name is terrible among the Gentiles.
[jnd]	Yea, cursed be the deceiver, who hath in his flock a male, and voweth and sacrificeth unto the Lord a corrupt thing; for I am a great King, saith Jehovah of hosts, and my name is terrible among the nations.
