35:2
[cbgb] 你吩咐以色列人，要从所得为业的地中把些城给利未人居住，也要把这城四围的郊野给利未人。 < | >
[niv] "Command the Israelites to give the Levites towns to live in from the inheritance the Israelites will possess. And give them pasturelands around the towns.
[asv] Command the children of Israel, that they give unto the Levites of the inheritance of their possession cities to dwell in; and suburbs for the cities round about them shall ye give unto the Levites.
[jnd] Command the children of Israel, that of the inheritance of their possession they give unto the Levites cities to dwell in; and a suburb for the cities round about them shall ye give unto the Levites.
[kjv] Command the children of Israel, that they give unto the Levites of the inheritance of their possession cities to dwell in; and ye shall give also unto the Levites suburbs for the cities round about them.

35:3

[niv] Then they will have towns to live in and pasturelands for their cattle, flocks and all their other livestock.
[asv] And the cities shall they have to dwell in; and their suburbs shall be for their cattle, and for their substance, and for all their beasts.
[jnd] And the cities shall they have to dwell in, and their suburbs shall be for their cattle, and for their goods, and for all their beasts.

35:4

[niv] "The pasturelands around the towns that you give the Levites will extend out fifteen hundred feet from the town wall.
[asv] And the suburbs of the cities, which ye shall give unto the Levites, shall be from the wall of the city and outward a thousand cubits round about.
[jnd] And the suburbs of the cities that ye shall give unto the Levites shall be from the walls of the city outward, a thousand cubits round about.
[kjv] And the suburbs of the cities, which ye shall give unto the Levites, shall reach from the wall of the city and outward a thousand cubits round about.
[nwb] And the suburbs of the cities which ye shall give to the Levites, from the wall of the city and outward a thousand cubits on all sides.
[rsv] The pasture lands of the cities, which you shall give to the Levites, shall reach from the wall of the city outward a thousand cubits all round.
[web] The suburbs of the cities, which you shall give to the Levites, shall be from the wall of the city and outward one thousand cubits round about.
[ylt] `And the suburbs of the cities which ye give to the Levites , from the wall of the city and without, a thousand cubits round about.
[bbe] Stretching from the wall of the towns a distance of a thousand cubits all round.
35:5
[cbgb] 另外东量二千肘，南量二千肘，西量二千肘，北量二千肘，为边界，城在当中。这要归他们作城邑的郊野。 < | >
[niv] Outside the town, measure three thousand feet on the east side, three thousand on the south side, three thousand on the west and three thousand on the north, with the town in the center. They will have this area as pastureland for the towns.
[asv] And ye shall measure without the city for the east side two thousand cubits, and for the south side two thousand cubits, and for the west side two thousand cubits, and for the north side two thousand cubits, the city being in the midst. This shall be to them the suburbs of the cities.
[jnd] And ye shall measure, without the city, the east side two thousand cubits, and the south side two thousand cubits, and the west side two thousand cubits, and the north side two thousand cubits, and the city shall be in the midst: they shall have this as suburbs of the cities.
[kjv] And ye shall measure from without the city on the east side two thousand cubits, and on the south side two thousand cubits, and on the west side two thousand cubits, and on the north side two thousand cubits; and the city shall be in the midst: this shall be to them the suburbs of the cities.

[ylt] And ye have measured from the outside of the city, the east quarter, two thousand by the cubit, and the south quarter, two thousand by the cubit, and the west quarter, two thousand by the cubit, and the north quarter, two thousand by the cubit; and the city in the midst; this is to them the suburbs of the cities.
[bbe] The measure of this space of land is to be two thousand cubits outside the town on the east, and two thousand cubits on the south and on the west and on the north, the town being in the middle. This space will be the outskirts of their towns.
35:6
[cbgb] 你们给利未人的城邑，其中当有六座逃城，使误杀人的可以逃到那里。此外还要给他们四十二座城。 < | >
[niv] "Six of the towns you give the Levites will be cities of refuge, to which a person who has killed someone may flee. In addition, give them forty-two other towns.
[asv] And the cities which ye shall give unto the Levites, they shall be the six cities of refuge, which ye shall give for the manslayer to flee unto: and besides them ye shall give forty and two cities.
[jnd] And the cities that ye shall give unto the Levites the six cities of refuge, which ye shall appoint for the manslayer, that he may flee thither, -- and besides them ye shall give forty-two cities:
[kjv] And among the cities which ye shall give unto the Levites there shall be six cities for refuge, which ye shall appoint for the manslayer, that he may flee thither: and to them ye shall add forty and two cities.

35:7

[niv] In all you must give the Levites forty-eight towns, together with their pasturelands.
[asv] All the cities which ye shall give to the Levites shall be forty and eight cities; them shall ye give with their suburbs.
[jnd] all the cities that ye shall give to the Levites shall be forty-eight cities, they and their suburbs.
[kjv] So all the cities which ye shall give to the Levites shall be forty and eight cities: them shall ye give with their suburbs.

[niv] The towns you give the Levites from the land the Israelites possess are to be given in proportion to the inheritance of each tribe: Take many towns from a tribe that has many, but few from one that has few."
[asv] And concerning the cities which ye shall give of the possession of the children of Israel, from the many ye shall take many; and from the few ye shall take few: every one according to his inheritance which he inheriteth shall give of his cities unto the Levites.
[jnd] And the cities which ye shall give shall be of the possession of the children of Israel: from them that have much ye shall take much, and from them that have little ye shall take little; each one according to his inheritance which he will inherit shall give of his cities to the Levites.

[bbe] And these towns are to be given out of the heritage of the children of Israel, taking the greater number from those who have much, and a smaller number from those who have little: everyone, in the measure of his heritage, is to give of his property to the Levites.
35:9

[niv] "Speak to the Israelites and say to them: `When you cross the Jordan into Canaan,
[asv] Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye pass over the Jordan into the land of Canaan,
[jnd] Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye pass over the Jordan into the land of Canaan,
[kjv] Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come over Jordan into the land of Canaan;
[nwb] Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them, When ye have passed over Jordan into the land of Canaan;

35:11
[cbgb] 就要分出几座城，为你们作逃城，使误杀人的可以逃到那里。 < | >
[niv] select some towns to be your cities of refuge, to which a person who has killed someone accidentally may flee.
[asv] then ye shall appoint you cities to be cities of refuge for you, that the manslayer that killeth any person unwittingly may flee thither.
[jnd] then ye shall appoint for yourselves cities: cities of refuge shall they be for you; that a manslayer may flee thither, who without intent smiteth a person mortally.
[kjv] Then ye shall appoint you cities to be cities of refuge for you; that the slayer may flee thither, which killeth any person at unawares.
[nwb] Then ye shall appoint for you cities to be cities of refuge for you; that the slayer may flee thither, who killeth any person at unawares.
[rsv] then you shall select cities to be cities of refuge for you, that the manslayer who kills any person without intent may flee there.

[ylt] and have prepared to yourselves cities -- cities of refuge they are to you -- then fled thither hath a man-slayer, smiting a person unawares,
[bbe] Then let certain towns be marked out as safe places to which anyone who takes the life of another in error may go in flight.
35:12

[niv] They will be places of refuge from the avenger, so that a person accused of murder may not die before he stands trial before the assembly.
[asv] And the cities shall be unto you for refuge from the avenger, that the manslayer die not, until he stand before the congregation for judgment.
[jnd] And ye shall have these cities for refuge from the avenger; that the manslayer die not, until he have stood before the assembly in judgment.
[kjv] And they shall be unto you cities for refuge from the avenger; that the manslayer die not, until he stand before the congregation in judgment.
[nwb] And they shall be to you cities for refuge from the avenger; that the man-slayer may not die, until he stands before the congregation in judgment.

[ylt] and the cities have been to you for a refuge from the redeemer, and the man-slayer doth not die till his standing before the company for judgment.
[bbe] In these towns you may be safe from him who has the right of punishment; so that death may not overtake the taker of life till he has been judged by the meeting of the people.
35:13
[cbgb] 你们所分出来的城，要作六座逃城。 < | >
[niv] These six towns you give will be your cities of refuge.
[asv] And the cities which ye shall give shall be for you six cities of refuge.
[jnd] And the cities that ye shall give shall be six cities of refuge for you.

[niv] These six towns will be a place of refuge for Israelites, aliens and any other people living among them, so that anyone who has killed another accidentally can flee there.
[asv] For the children of Israel, and for the stranger and for the sojourner among them, shall these six cities be for refuge; that every one that killeth any person unwittingly may flee thither.
[jnd] For the children of Israel, and for the stranger, and for the sojourner among them shall these six cities be a refuge, that one who smiteth a person mortally without intent may flee thither.

[niv] "`If a man strikes someone with an iron object so that he dies, he is a murderer; the murderer shall be put to death.
[asv] But if he smote him with an instrument of iron, so that he died, he is a murderer: the murderer shall surely be put to death.
[jnd] And if he have smitten him with an instrument of iron, so that he die, he is a murderer: the murderer shall certainly be put to death.
[kjv] And if he smite him with an instrument of iron, so that he die, he is a murderer: the murderer shall surely be put to death.
[nwb] And if he shall smite him with an instrument of iron, so that he shall die, he a murderer: the murderer shall surely be put to death.

35:17
[cbgb] 若用可以打死人的石头打死了人，他就是故杀人的。故杀人的必被治死。 < | >
[niv] Or if anyone has a stone in his hand that could kill, and he strikes someone so that he dies, he is a murderer; the murderer shall be put to death.
[asv] And if he smote him with a stone in the hand, whereby a man may die, and he died, he is a murderer: the murderer shall surely be put to death.
[jnd] And if he have smitten him with a stone from the hand, wherewith one may die, and he die, he is a murderer: the murderer shall certainly be put to death.
[kjv] And if he smite him with throwing a stone, wherewith he may die, and he die, he is a murderer: the murderer shall surely be put to death.
[nwb] And if he shall smite him by throwing a stone, by which he may die, and he shall die, he a murderer: the murderer shall surely be put to death.

[asv] Or if he smote him with a weapon of wood in the hand, whereby a man may die, and he died, he is a murderer: the murderer shall surely be put to death.
[jnd] Or if he have smitten him with an instrument of wood, in the hand, wherewith one may die, and he die, he is a murderer: the murderer shall certainly be put to death;
[kjv] Or if he smite him with an hand weapon of wood, wherewith he may die, and he die, he is a murderer: the murderer shall surely be put to death.
[nwb] Or he shall smite him with a hand-weapon of wood, with which he may die, and he shall die, he a murderer: the murderer shall surely be put to death.

[niv] The avenger of blood shall put the murderer to death; when he meets him, he shall put him to death.
[asv] The avenger of blood shall himself put the murderer to death: when he meeteth him, he shall put him to death.
[jnd] the avenger of blood, he shall put the murderer to death; when he meeteth him, he shall put him to death.
[kjv] The revenger of blood himself shall slay the murderer: when he meeteth him, he shall slay him.
[nwb] The avenger of blood himself shall slay the murderer: when he meeteth him, he shall slay him.

35:20
[cbgb] 人若因怨恨把人推倒，或是埋伏往人身上扔物，以致于死， < | >
[niv] If anyone with malice aforethought shoves another or throws something at him intentionally so that he dies
[asv] And if he thrust him of hatred, or hurled at him, lying in wait, so that he died,
[jnd] And if he thrust at him out of hatred, or hurl at him intentionally, so that he die,
[kjv] But if he thrust him of hatred, or hurl at him by laying of wait, that he die;
[nwb] But if he shall thrust him of hatred, or hurl at him by laying in wait, that he die.
[rsv] And if he stabbed him from hatred, or hurled at him, lying in wait, so that he died,
[web] If he thrust him of hatred, or hurled at him, lying in wait, so that he died,
[ylt] `And if in hatred he thrust him through, or hath cast at him by lying in wait, and he dieth;
[bbe] If in his hate he put a sword through him, or waiting secretly for him sent a spear or stone at him, causing his death;
35:21
[cbgb] 或是因仇恨用手打人，以致于死，那打人的必被治死。他是故杀人的。报血仇的一遇见就杀他。 < | >
[niv] or if in hostility he hits him with his fist so that he dies, that person shall be put to death; he is a murderer. The avenger of blood shall put the murderer to death when he meets him.
[asv] or in enmity smote him with his hand, so that he died; he that smote him shall surely be put to death; he is a murderer: the avenger of blood shall put the murderer to death, when he meeteth him.
