1[和合本]亚伯兰的妻子撒莱不给他生儿女。撒莱有一个使女名叫夏甲，是埃及人。
[拼音]yǎ bó lán de qī zǐ sā lái bù gěi tā shēng ér nǚ。sā lái yǒu yī gè shǐ nǚ míng jiào xià jiǎ，shì āi jí rén。
[WEB]Now Sarai, Abram’s wife, bore him no children. She had a servant, an Egyptian, whose name was Hagar.
[ASV]Now Sarai, Abram’s wife, bare him no children: and she had a handmaid, an Egyptian, whose name was Hagar.
2[和合本]撒莱对亚伯兰说：“耶和华使我不能生育，求你和我的使女同房，或者我可以因她得孩子（“得孩子”原文作“被建立”）。”亚伯兰听从了撒莱的话。

[WEB]Sarai said to Abram, “See now, Yahweh has restrained me from bearing. Please go in to my servant. It may be that I will obtain children by her.” Abram listened to the voice of Sarai.
[ASV]And Sarai said unto Abram, Behold now, Jehovah hath restrained me from bearing; go in, I pray thee, unto my handmaid; it may be that I shall obtain children by her. And Abram hearkened to the voice of Sarai.
3[和合本]于是亚伯兰的妻子撒莱将使女埃及人夏甲给了丈夫为妾。那时亚伯兰在迦南已经住了十年。
[拼音]yú shì yǎ bó lán de qī zǐ sā lái，jiāng shǐ nǚ āi jí rén xià jiǎ gěi le zhàng fū wèi qiè。nà shí yǎ bó lán zài jiā nán yǐ jīng zhù le shí nián。
[WEB]Sarai, Abram’s wife, took Hagar the Egyptian, her servant, after Abram had lived ten years in the land of Canaan, and gave her to Abram her husband to be his wife.
[ASV]And Sarai, Abram’s wife, took Hagar the Egyptian, her handmaid, after Abram had dwelt ten years in the land of Canaan, and gave her to Abram her husband to be his wife.
4[和合本]亚伯兰与夏甲同房，夏甲就怀了孕。她见自己有孕，就小看她的主母。
[拼音]yǎ bó lán yǔ xià jiǎ tóng fáng，xià jiǎ jìu huái le yùn。tā jiàn zì jǐ yǒu yùn，jìu xiǎo kàn tā de zhǔ mǔ。
[WEB]He went in to Hagar, and she conceived. When she saw that she had conceived, her mistress was despised in her eyes.
[ASV]And he went in unto Hagar, and she conceived: and when she saw that she had conceived, her mistress was despised in her eyes.
5[和合本]撒莱对亚伯兰说：“我因你受屈，我将我的使女放在你怀中，她见自己有了孕就小看我，愿耶和华在你我中间判断。”
[拼音]sā lái duì yǎ bó lán shuō，wǒ yīn nǐ shòu qū，wǒ jiāng wǒ de shǐ nǚ fàng zài nǐ huái zhōng，tā jiàn zì jǐ yǒu le yùn jìu xiǎo kàn wǒ，yuàn yē hé huá zài nǐ wǒ zhōng jiān pàn duàn。
[WEB]Sarai said to Abram, “This wrong is your fault. I gave my servant into your bosom, and when she saw that she had conceived, I was despised in her eyes. Yahweh judge between me and you.”
[ASV]And Sarai said unto Abram, My wrong be upon thee: I gave my handmaid into thy bosom; and when she saw that she had conceived, I was despised in her eyes: Jehovah judge between me and thee.
6[和合本]亚伯兰对撒莱说：“使女在你手下，你可以随意待她。”撒莱苦待她，她就从撒莱面前逃走了。
[拼音]yǎ bó lán duì sā lái shuō，shǐ nǚ zài nǐ shǒu xià，nǐ kě yǐ suí yì dài tā。sā lái kǔ dài tā，tā jìu cóng sā lái miàn qián táo zǒu le。
[WEB]But Abram said to Sarai, “Behold, your maid is in your hand. Do to her whatever is good in your eyes.” Sarai dealt harshly with her, and she fled from her face.
[ASV]But Abram said unto Sarai, Behold, thy maid is in thy hand; do to her that which is good in thine eyes. And Sarai dealt hardly with her, and she fled from her face.
7[和合本]耶和华的使者在旷野书珥路上的水泉旁遇见她，
[拼音]yē hé huá de shǐ zhě zài kuàng yě，shū ěr lù shàng de shuǐ quán páng yù jiàn tā，
[WEB]Yahweh’s angel found her by a fountain of water in the wilderness, by the fountain on the way to Shur.
[ASV]And the angel of Jehovah found her by a fountain of water in the wilderness, by the fountain in the way to Shur.
8[和合本]对她说：“撒莱的使女夏甲，你从哪里来？要往哪里去？”夏甲说：“我从我的主母撒莱面前逃出来。”
[拼音]duì tā shuō，sā lái de shǐ nǚ xià jiǎ，nǐ cóng nà lǐ lái，yào wǎng nà lǐ qù。xià jiǎ shuō，wǒ cóng wǒ de zhǔ mǔ sā lái miàn qián táo chū lái。
[WEB]He said, “Hagar, Sarai’s servant, where did you come from? Where are you going?” She said, “I am fleeing from the face of my mistress Sarai.”
[ASV]And he said, Hagar, Sarai’s handmaid, whence camest thou? and whither goest thou? And she said, I am fleeing from the face of my mistress Sarai.
9[和合本]耶和华的使者对她说：“你回到你主母那里，服在她手下。”
[拼音]yē hé huá de shǐ zhě duì tā shuō，nǐ huí dào nǐ zhǔ mǔ nà lǐ，fú zài tā shǒu xià。
[WEB]Yahweh’s angel said to her, “Return to your mistress, and submit yourself under her hands.”
[ASV]And the angel of Jehovah said unto her, Return to thy mistress, and submit thyself under her hands.
10[和合本]又说：“我必使你的后裔极其繁多，甚至不可胜数。”

11[和合本]并说：“你如今怀孕要生一个儿子，可以给他起名叫以实玛利，因为耶和华听见了你的苦情（“以实玛利”就是“上帝听见”的意思）。

12[和合本]他为人必像野驴。他的手要攻打人，人的手也要攻打他。他必住在众弟兄的东边。”

[ASV]And he shall be as a wild ass among men; his hand shall be against every man, and every man’s hand against him; and he shall dwell over against all his brethren.
13[和合本]夏甲就称那对她说话的耶和华为“看顾人的上帝”。因而说：“在这里我也看见那看顾我的吗？”

[ASV]And she called the name of Jehovah that spake unto her, Thou art a God that seeth: for she said, Have I even here looked after him that seeth me?
14[和合本]所以这井名叫庇耳拉海莱。这井正在加低斯和巴列中间。
[拼音]suǒ yǐ zhè jǐng míng jiào bì ěr lā hǎi lái。zhè jǐng zhèng zài jiā dī sī，hé bā liè zhōng jiān。
[WEB]Therefore the well was called Beer Lahai Roi.Beer Lahai Roi means “well of the one who lives and sees me”. Behold, it is between Kadesh and Bered.
[ASV]Wherefore the well was called Beer-lahai-roi; behold, it is between Kadesh and Bered.
