[asv] And against the wall of the house he built stories round about, against the walls of the house round about, both of the temple and of the oracle; and he made side-chambers round about.
[jnd] And against the wall of the house he built floors round about, the walls of the house, round about the temple and the oracle; and he made side-chambers round about.

[niv] In building the temple, only blocks dressed at the quarry were used, and no hammer, chisel or any other iron tool was heard at the temple site while it was being built.
[asv] And the house, when it was in building, was built of stone made ready at the quarry; and there was neither hammer nor axe nor any tool of iron heard in the house, while it was in building.

[niv] So he built the temple and completed it, roofing it with beams and cedar planks.
[asv] So he built the house, and finished it; and he covered the house with beams and planks of cedar.

[niv] "As for this temple you are building, if you follow my decrees, carry out my regulations and keep all my commands and obey them, I will fulfill through you the promise I gave to David your father.
[asv] Concerning this house which thou art building, if thou wilt walk in my statutes, and execute mine ordinances, and keep all my commandments to walk in them; then will I establish my word with thee, which I spake unto David thy father.
[jnd] As to this house which thou art building, if thou wilt walk in my statutes, and practise mine ordinances, and keep all my commandments to walk in them, then will I perform my word as to thee which I spoke unto David thy father;

[niv] He partitioned off twenty cubits at the rear of the temple with cedar boards from floor to ceiling to form within the temple an inner sanctuary, the Most Holy Place.
[asv] And he built twenty cubits on the hinder part of the house with boards of cedar from the floor unto the walls of the ceiling: he built them for it within, for an oracle, even for the most holy place.
[jnd] And he built twenty cubits of the innermost part of the house, both floor and walls, with boards of cedar; and he built for it within, to the oracle, the most holy place.
[kjv] And he built twenty cubits on the sides of the house, both the floor and the walls with boards of cedar: he even built them for it within, even for the oracle, even for the most holy place.

[niv] The inside of the temple was cedar, carved with gourds and open flowers. Everything was cedar; no stone was to be seen.
[asv] And there was cedar on the house within, carved with knops and open flowers: all was cedar; there was no stone seen.

[niv] He prepared the inner sanctuary within the temple to set the ark of the covenant of the LORD there.

[asv] And within the oracle was a space of twenty cubits in length, and twenty cubits in breadth, and twenty cubits in the height thereof; and he overlaid it with pure gold: and he covered the altar with cedar.

[niv] Solomon covered the inside of the temple with pure gold, and he extended gold chains across the front of the inner sanctuary, which was overlaid with gold.
