[niv] He went out to meet Asa and said to him, "Listen to me, Asa and all Judah and Benjamin. The LORD is with you when you are with him. If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you forsake him, he will forsake you.

[bbe] And he came face to face with Asa and said to him, Give ear to me, Asa and all Judah and Benjamin: the Lord is with you while you are with him; if your heart's desire is for him, he will be near you, but if you give him up, he will give you up.
15:3

[niv] For a long time Israel was without the true God, without a priest to teach and without the law.

[niv] In those days it was not safe to travel about, for all the inhabitants of the lands were in great turmoil.
[asv] And in those times there was no peace to him that went out, nor to him that came in; but great vexations were upon all the inhabitants of the lands.

[niv] One nation was being crushed by another and one city by another, because God was troubling them with every kind of distress.
[asv] And they were broken in pieces, nation against nation, and city against city; for God did vex them with all adversity.
[jnd] And nation was broken against nation, and city against city; for God disturbed them with all manner of distress.
[kjv] And nation was destroyed of nation, and city of city: for God did vex them with all adversity.

[niv] When Asa heard these words and the prophecy of Azariah son of Oded the prophet, he took courage. He removed the detestable idols from the whole land of Judah and Benjamin and from the towns he had captured in the hills of Ephraim. He repaired the altar of the LORD that was in front of the portico of the LORD's temple.
[asv] And when Asa heard these words, and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he took courage, and put away the abominations out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and out of the cities which he had taken from the hill-country of Ephraim; and he renewed the altar of Jehovah, that was before the porch of Jehovah.

[bbe] And Asa, hearing these words of Azariah, the son of Oded the prophet, took heart and put away all the disgusting things out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and out of the towns which he had taken from the hill-country of Ephraim; and he made new again the altar of the Lord in front of the covered way of the Lord's house.
15:9
[cbgb] 又招聚犹大，便雅悯的众人，并他们中间寄居的以法莲人，玛拿西人，西缅人。有许多以色列人归降亚撒，因见耶和华他的　神与他同在。 < | >
[niv] Then he assembled all Judah and Benjamin and the people from Ephraim, Manasseh and Simeon who had settled among them, for large numbers had come over to him from Israel when they saw that the LORD his God was with him.
[asv] And he gathered all Judah and Benjamin, and them that sojourned with them out of Ephraim and Manasseh, and out of Simeon: for they fell to him out of Israel in abundance, when they saw that Jehovah his God was with him.

15:10

[asv] And also Maacah, the mother of Asa the king, he removed from being queen, because she had made an abominable image for an Asherah; and Asa cut down her image, and made dust of it, and burnt it at the brook Kidron.

[niv] Although he did not remove the high places from Israel, Asa's heart was fully committed all his life.
