[niv] Some years later he went down to visit Ahab in Samaria. Ahab slaughtered many sheep and cattle for him and the people with him and urged him to attack Ramoth Gilead.
[asv] And after certain years he went down to Ahab to Samaria. And Ahab killed sheep and oxen for him in abundance, and for the people that were with him, and moved him to go up with him to Ramoth-gilead.

[niv] Ahab king of Israel asked Jehoshaphat king of Judah, "Will you go with me against Ramoth Gilead?" Jehoshaphat replied, "I am as you are, and my people as your people; we will join you in the war."
[asv] And Ahab king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat king of Judah, Wilt thou go with me to Ramoth-gilead? And he answered him, I am as thou art, and my people as thy people; and we will be with thee in the war.

[niv] But Jehoshaphat also said to the king of Israel, "First seek the counsel of the LORD."
[asv] And Jehoshaphat said unto the king of Israel, Inquire first, I pray thee, for the word of Jehovah.
[jnd] And Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, Inquire, I pray thee, this day of the word of Jehovah.
[kjv] And Jehoshaphat said unto the king of Israel, Enquire, I pray thee, at the word of the LORD to day.

[niv] So the king of Israel brought together the prophets--four hundred men--and asked them, "Shall we go to war against Ramoth Gilead, or shall I refrain?" "Go," they answered, "for God will give it into the king's hand."
[asv] Then the king of Israel gathered the prophets together, four hundred men, and said unto them, Shall we go to Ramoth-gilead to battle, or shall I forbear? And they said, Go up; for God will deliver it into the hand of the king.
[jnd] And the king of Israel assembled the prophets, four hundred men, and said to them, Shall we go against Ramoth-Gilead to battle, or shall I forbear? And they said, Go up, and God will give it into the king's hand.

[niv] But Jehoshaphat asked, "Is there not a prophet of the LORD here whom we can inquire of?"
[asv] But Jehoshaphat said, Is there not here a prophet of Jehovah besides, that we may inquire of him?
[jnd] But Jehoshaphat said, Is there not here a prophet of Jehovah besides, that we might inquire of him?
[kjv] But Jehoshaphat said, Is there not here a prophet of the LORD besides, that we might enquire of him?
[nwb] But Jehoshaphat said, not here a prophet of the LORD besides, that we may inquire of him?
[rsv] But Jehosh'aphat said, "Is there not here another prophet of the LORD of whom we may inquire?"
[web] But Jehoshaphat said, Isn't there here a prophet of Yahweh besides, that we may inquire of him?
[ylt] And Jehoshaphat saith, `Is there not here a prophet of Jehovah still, and we seek from him?'
[bbe] But Jehoshaphat said, Is there no other prophet of the Lord here from whom we may get directions?
18:7
[cbgb] 以色列王对约沙法说，还有一个人，是音拉的儿子米该雅。我们可以托他求问耶和华，只是我恨他。因为他指着我所说的预言，不说吉语，常说凶言。约沙法说，王不必这样说。 < | >
[niv] The king of Israel answered Jehoshaphat, "There is still one man through whom we can inquire of the LORD, but I hate him because he never prophesies anything good about me, but always bad. He is Micaiah son of Imlah." "The king should not say that," Jehoshaphat replied.
[asv] And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, There is yet one man by whom we may inquire of Jehovah: but I hate him; for he never prophesieth good concerning me, but always evil: the same is Micaiah the son of Imla. And Jehoshaphat said, Let not the king say so.
[jnd] And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, There is yet one man by whom we may inquire of Jehovah; but I hate him, for he prophesies no good concerning me, but always evil: Micah the son of Imlah. And Jehoshaphat said, Let not the king say so.

[niv] So the king of Israel called one of his officials and said, "Bring Micaiah son of Imlah at once."
[asv] Then the king of Israel called an officer, and said, Fetch quickly Micaiah the son of Imla.
[jnd] Then the king of Israel called a chamberlain, and said, Fetch quickly Micah the son of Imlah.
[kjv] And the king of Israel called for one of his officers, and said, Fetch quickly Micaiah the son of Imla.
[nwb] And the king of Israel called for one officers, and said, Bring quickly Micaiah the son of Imla.
[rsv] Then the king of Israel summoned an officer and said, "Bring quickly Micai'ah the son of Imlah."
[web] Then the king of Israel called an officer, and said, Get quickly Micaiah the son of Imla.
[ylt] And the king of Israel calleth unto a certain officer, and saith, `Hasten Micaiah son of Imlah.'
[bbe] Then the king of Israel sent for one of his unsexed servants and said, Go quickly and come back with Micaiah, the son of Imla.

[niv] Dressed in their royal robes, the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat king of Judah were sitting on their thrones at the threshing floor by the entrance to the gate of Samaria, with all the prophets prophesying before them.
[asv] Now the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah sat each on his throne, arrayed in their robes, and they were sitting in an open place at the entrance of the gate of Samaria; and all the prophets were prophesying before them.
[jnd] And the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah, having put on their robes, sat each on his throne; and they sat in an open place at the entrance of the gate of Samaria; and all the prophets prophesied before them.
[kjv] And the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat king of Judah sat either of them on his throne, clothed in their robes, and they sat in a void place at the entering in of the gate of Samaria; and all the prophets prophesied before them.

[bbe] Now the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat, the king of Judah, were seated on their seats of authority, dressed in their robes, by the doorway into Samaria; and all the prophets were acting as prophets before them.
18:10

[niv] Now Zedekiah son of Kenaanah had made iron horns, and he declared, "This is what the LORD says: `With these you will gore the Arameans until they are destroyed.'"
[asv] And Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah made him horns of iron, and said, Thus saith Jehovah, With these shalt thou push the Syrians, until they be consumed.
[jnd] And Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah made for himself horns of iron, and he said, Thus saith Jehovah: With these shalt thou push the Syrians, until thou have exterminated them.
[kjv] And Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah had made him horns of iron, and said, Thus saith the LORD, With these thou shalt push Syria until they be consumed.
[nwb] And Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah had made him horns of iron, and said, Thus saith the LORD, With these thou shalt push Syria until they shall be consumed.
[rsv] And Zedeki'ah the son of Chena'anah made for himself horns of iron, and said, "Thus says the LORD, 'With these you shall push the Syrians until they are destroyed.'"
[web] Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah made him horns of iron, and said, Thus says Yahweh, With these shall you push the Syrians, until they be consumed.
[ylt] And Zedekiah son of Chenaanah maketh for himself horns of iron, and saith, `Thus said Jehovah,
[bbe] And Zedekiah, the son of Chenaanah, made himself iron horns and said, The Lord says, Pushing back the Aramaeans with these, you will put an end to them completely.
18:11
[cbgb] 所有的先知也都这样预言说，可以上基列的拉末去，必然得胜，因为耶和华必将那城交在王的手中。 < | >
[niv] All the other prophets were prophesying the same thing. "Attack Ramoth Gilead and be victorious," they said, "for the LORD will give it into the king's hand."
[asv] And all the prophets prophesied so, saying, Go up to Ramoth-gilead, and prosper; for Jehovah will deliver it into the hand of the king.
[jnd] And all the prophets prophesied so, saying, Go up to Ramoth-Gilead, and prosper; for Jehovah will give it into the king's hand.

[ylt] With these thou dost push Aram till thou hast consumed them.' And all the prophets are prophesying so, saying, `Go up Ramath-Gilead and prosper, and Jehovah hath given into the hand of the king.'
[bbe] And all the prophets said the same thing, saying, Go up to Ramoth-gilead, and it will go well for you, for the Lord will give it into the hands of the king.
18:12
[cbgb] 那去召米该雅的使者对米该雅说，众先知一口同音地都向王说吉言，你不如与他们说一样的话，也说吉言。 < | >
[niv] The messenger who had gone to summon Micaiah said to him, "Look, as one man the other prophets are predicting success for the king. Let your word agree with theirs, and speak favorably."
[asv] And the messenger that went to call Micaiah spake to him, saying, Behold, the words of the prophets declare good to the king with one mouth: let thy word therefore, I pray thee, be like one of theirs, and speak thou good.
[jnd] And the messenger that went to call Micah spoke to him saying, Behold, the words of the prophets good to the king with one assent: let thy word therefore, I pray thee, be like one of theirs, and declare good.
[kjv] And the messenger that went to call Micaiah spake to him, saying, Behold, the words of the prophets declare good to the king with one assent; let thy word therefore, I pray thee, be like one of their's, and speak thou good.
[nwb] And the messenger that went to call Micaiah spoke to him, saying, Behold, the words of the prophets good to the king with one consent; let thy word therefore, I pray thee, be like one of theirs, and speak thou good.
[rsv] And the messenger who went to summon Micai'ah said to him, "Behold, the words of the prophets with one accord are favorable to the king; let your word be like the word of one of them, and speak favorably."
[web] The messenger who went to call Micaiah spoke to him, saying, Behold, the words of the prophets good to the king with one mouth: let your word therefore, Please be like one of theirs, and speak you good.
[ylt] And the messenger who hath gone to call for Micaiah hath spoken unto him, saying, `Lo, the words of the prophets -- one mouth -- good towards the king, and let, I pray thee, thy word be like one of theirs: and thou hast spoken good.'
[bbe] Now the servant who had gone to get Micaiah said to him, See now, all the prophets with one voice are saying good things to the king; so let your words be like theirs, and say good things.
18:13

[niv] But Micaiah said, "As surely as the LORD lives, I can tell him only what my God says."
[asv] And Micaiah said, As Jehovah liveth, what my God saith, that will I speak.
[jnd] And Micah said, As Jehovah liveth, even what my God shall say, that will I declare.
[kjv] And Micaiah said, As the LORD liveth, even what my God saith, that will I speak.
[nwb] And Micaiah said, the LORD liveth, even what my God saith, that will I speak.
[rsv] But Micai'ah said, "As the LORD lives, what my God says, that I will speak."
[web] Micaiah said, As Yahweh lives, what my God says, that will I speak.
[ylt] And Micaiah saith `Jehovah liveth, surely that which my God saith, it I speak.'
[bbe] And Micaiah said, By the living Lord, whatever the Lord says to me I will say.
18:14

[niv] The king said to him, "How many times must I make you swear to tell me nothing but the truth in the name of the LORD?"
[asv] And the king said to him, How many times shall I adjure thee that thou speak unto me nothing but the truth in the name of Jehovah?
[jnd] And the king said to him, How many times shall I adjure thee that thou tell me nothing but truth in the name of Jehovah?
[kjv] And the king said to him, How many times shall I adjure thee that thou say nothing but the truth to me in the name of the LORD?
[nwb] And the king said to him, How many times shall I adjure thee that thou say nothing but the truth to me in the name of the LORD?
[rsv] But the king said to him, "How many times shall I adjure you that you speak to me nothing but the truth in the name of the LORD?"
[web] The king said to him, How many times shall I adjure you that you speak to me nothing but the truth in the name of Yahweh?
[ylt] And the king saith unto him, `How many times am I adjuring thee, that thou speak unto me only truth in the name of Jehovah?'
[bbe] And the king said to him, Have I not, again and again, put you on your oath to say nothing to me but what is true in the name of the Lord?
18:16

[niv] Then Micaiah answered, "I saw all Israel scattered on the hills like sheep without a shepherd, and the LORD said, `These people have no master. Let each one go home in peace.'"
[asv] And he said, I saw all Israel scattered upon the mountains, as sheep that have no shepherd: and Jehovah said, These have no master; let them return every man to his house in peace.
[jnd] And he said, I saw all Israel scattered upon the mountains, as sheep that have no shepherd. And Jehovah said, These have no master: let them return every man to his house in peace.
[kjv] Then he said, I did see all Israel scattered upon the mountains, as sheep that have no shepherd: and the LORD said, These have no master; let them return therefore every man to his house in peace.
[nwb] Then he said, I saw all Israel scattered upon the mountains, as sheep that have no shepherd: and the LORD said, These have no master; let them return every man to his house in peace.
[rsv] And he said, "I saw all Israel scattered upon the mountains, as sheep that have no shepherd; and the LORD said, 'These have no master; let each return to his home in peace.'"
[web] He said, I saw all Israel scattered on the mountains, as sheep that have no shepherd: and Yahweh said, These have no master; let them return every man to his house in peace.
[ylt] And he saith, `I have seen all Israel scattered on the mountains, as sheep that have no shepherd, and Jehovah saith, There are no masters to these, they turn back each to his house in peace.'
[bbe] Then he said, I saw all Israel wandering on the mountains like sheep without a keeper; and the Lord said, These have no master: let them go back, every man to his house in peace.
18:17
[cbgb] 以色列王对约沙法说，我岂没有告诉你，这人指着我所说的预言，不说吉语，单说凶言麽？ < | >
[niv] The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, "Didn't I tell you that he never prophesies anything good about me, but only bad?"

[niv] "`I will go and be a lying spirit in the mouths of all his prophets,' he said. "`You will succeed in enticing him,' said the LORD. `Go and do it.'

[asv] Then Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah came near, and smote Micaiah upon the cheek, and said, Which way went the Spirit of Jehovah from me to speak unto thee?
[jnd] Then Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah went near, and smote Micah upon the cheek, and said, Which way now went the Spirit of Jehovah from me to speak to thee?
[kjv] Then Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah came near, and smote Micaiah upon the cheek, and said, Which way went the Spirit of the LORD from me to speak unto thee?
[nwb] Then Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah came near, and smote Micaiah upon the cheek, and said, Which way went the spirit of the LORD from me to speak to thee?
[rsv] Then Zedeki'ah the son of Chena'anah came near and struck Micai'ah on the cheek, and said, "Which way did the Spirit of the LORD go from me to speak to you?"

[ylt] And Zedekiah son of Chenaanah cometh nigh, and smiteth Micaiah on the cheek, and saith, `Where this -- the way the Spirit of Jehovah passed over from me to speak with thee?'
[bbe] Then Zedekiah, the son of Chenaanah, came near and gave Micaiah a blow on the side of his face, saying, Where is the spirit of the Lord whose word is in you?

[niv] Micaiah replied, "You will find out on the day you go to hide in an inner room."

[niv] When the chariot commanders saw Jehoshaphat, they thought, "This is the king of Israel." So they turned to attack him, but Jehoshaphat cried out, and the LORD helped him. God drew them away from him,
[asv] And it came to pass, when the captains of the chariots saw Jehoshaphat, that they said, It is the king of Israel. Therefore they turned about to fight against him: but Jehoshaphat cried out, and Jehovah helped him; and God moved them to depart from him.
[jnd] And it came to pass when the captains of the chariots saw Jehoshaphat, that they said, That is the king of Israel; and they surrounded him to fight; and Jehoshaphat cried out, and Jehovah helped him; and God diverted them from him.

[niv] But someone drew his bow at random and hit the king of Israel between the sections of his armor. The king told the chariot driver, "Wheel around and get me out of the fighting. I've been wounded."
[asv] And a certain man drew his bow at a venture, and smote the king of Israel between the joints of the armor: wherefore he said to the driver of the chariot, Turn thy hand, and carry me out of the host; for I am sore wounded.
[jnd] And a man drew a bow at a venture, and smote the king of Israel between the fastenings and the corslet. And he said to the charioteer, Turn thy hand and drive me out of the camp; for I am wounded.
[kjv] And a certain man drew a bow at a venture, and smote the king of Israel between the joints of the harness: therefore he said to his chariot man, Turn thine hand, that thou mayest carry me out of the host; for I am wounded.

[ylt] And a man hath drawn with a bow, in his simplicity, and smiteth the king of Israel between the joinings and the coat of mail, and he saith to the charioteer, `Turn thy hand, and thou hast brought me out of the camp, for I have become sick.'
[bbe] And a certain man sent an arrow from his bow without thought of its direction, and gave the king of Israel a wound where his breastplate was joined to his clothing; so he said to the driver of his war-carriage, Go to one side and take me away out of the army, for I am badly wounded.

[niv] All day long the battle raged, and the king of Israel propped himself up in his chariot facing the Arameans until evening. Then at sunset he died.
[asv] And the battle increased that day: howbeit the king of Israel stayed himself up in his chariot against the Syrians until the even; and about the time of the going down of the sun he died.

[web] The battle increased that day: however the king of Israel stayed himself up in his chariot against the Syrians until the even; and about the time of the going down of the sun he died.
[ylt] And the battle increaseth on that day, and the king of Israel hath been stayed up in the chariot over-against Aram till the evening, and he dieth at the time of the going in of the sun.
[bbe] But the fight became more violent while the day went on; and the king of Israel was supported in his war-carriage facing the Aramaeans till the evening; and by sundown he was dead.
