[bbe] Then Solomon said, O Lord, to the sun you have given the heaven for a living-place, but your living-place was not seen by men,
6:2
[cbgb] 但我已经建造殿宇作你的居所，为你永远的住处。 < | >
[niv] I have built a magnificent temple for you, a place for you to dwell forever."
[asv] But I have built thee a house of habitation, and a place for thee to dwell in for ever.
[jnd] But I have built a house of habitation for thee, even a settled place for thee to abide in for ever.
[kjv] But I have built an house of habitation for thee, and a place for thy dwelling for ever.

[niv] Then he said: "Praise be to the LORD, the God of Israel, who with his hands has fulfilled what he promised with his mouth to my father David. For he said,

[bbe] And he said, Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel, who himself gave his word to my father David, and with his strong hand has made his word come true, saying,

[niv] `Since the day I brought my people out of Egypt, I have not chosen a city in any tribe of Israel to have a temple built for my Name to be there, nor have I chosen anyone to be the leader over my people Israel.
[asv] Since the day that I brought forth my people out of the land of Egypt, I chose no city out of all the tribes of Israel to build a house in, that my name might be there; neither chose I any man to be prince over my people Israel:

[niv] "My father David had it in his heart to build a temple for the Name of the LORD, the God of Israel.
[asv] Now it was in the heart of David my father to build a house for the name of Jehovah, the God of Israel.
[jnd] And it was in the heart of David my father to build a house unto the name of Jehovah the God of Israel.

6:9

[niv] Nevertheless, you are not the one to build the temple, but your son, who is your own flesh and blood--he is the one who will build the temple for my Name.'
[asv] nevertheless thou shalt not build the house; but thy son that shall come forth out of thy loins, he shall build the house for my name.

[niv] "The LORD has kept the promise he made. I have succeeded David my father and now I sit on the throne of Israel, just as the LORD promised, and I have built the temple for the Name of the LORD, the God of Israel.
[asv] And Jehovah hath performed his word that he spake; for I am risen up in the room of David my father, and sit on the throne of Israel, as Jehovah promised, and have built the house for the name of Jehovah, the God of Israel.
[jnd] And Jehovah has performed his word which he spoke; and I am risen up in the room of David my father, and sit on the throne of Israel, as Jehovah promised, and I have built the house unto the name of Jehovah the God of Israel.
[kjv] The LORD therefore hath performed his word that he hath spoken: for I am risen up in the room of David my father, and am set on the throne of Israel, as the LORD promised, and have built the house for the name of the LORD God of Israel.

[bbe] And the Lord has kept his word; for I have taken my father David's place on the seat of the kingdom of Israel, as the Lord gave his word; and I have made the house for the name of the Lord the God of Israel.
6:11
[cbgb] 我将约柜安置在其中，柜内有耶和华的约，就是他与以色列人所立的约。 < | >
[niv] There I have placed the ark, in which is the covenant of the LORD that he made with the people of Israel."
[asv] And there have I set the ark, wherein is the covenant of Jehovah, which he made with the children of Israel.

[niv] Now he had made a bronze platform, five cubits long, five cubits wide and three cubits high, and had placed it in the center of the outer court. He stood on the platform and then knelt down before the whole assembly of Israel and spread out his hands toward heaven.
[asv] (for Solomon had made a brazen scaffold, five cubits long, and five cubits broad, and three cubits high, and had set it in the midst of the court; and upon it he stood, and kneeled down upon his knees before all the assembly of Israel, and spread forth his hands toward heaven;)
[jnd] For Solomon had made a platform of bronze, five cubits long, and five cubits broad, and three cubits high, and had set it in the midst of the court; and upon it he stood, and he kneeled down on his knees before the whole congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands toward the heavens,
[kjv] For Solomon had made a brasen scaffold of five cubits long, and five cubits broad, and three cubits high, and had set it in the midst of the court: and upon it he stood, and kneeled down upon his knees before all the congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands toward heaven.

[cbgb] 说，耶和华以色列的　神阿，天上地下没有　神可比你的。你向那尽心行在你面前的仆人守约施慈爱。 < | >
[niv] He said: "O LORD, God of Israel, there is no God like you in heaven or on earth--you who keep your covenant of love with your servants who continue wholeheartedly in your way.
[asv] and he said, O Jehovah, the God of Israel, there is no God like thee, in heaven, or on earth; who keepest covenant and lovingkindness with thy servants, that walk before thee with all their heart;
[jnd] and said, Jehovah, God of Israel! there is no God like thee, in the heavens or on the earth, who keepest covenant and mercy with thy servants that walk before thee with all their heart;
[kjv] And said, O LORD God of Israel, there is no God like thee in the heaven, nor in the earth; which keepest covenant, and shewest mercy unto thy servants, that walk before thee with all their hearts:
[nwb] And said, O LORD God of Israel, no God like thee in the heaven, nor on the earth; who keepest covenant, and mercy to thy servants, that walk before thee with all their hearts:
[rsv] and said, "O LORD, God of Israel, there is no God like thee, in heaven or on earth, keeping covenant and showing steadfast love to thy servants who walk before thee with all their heart;
[web] and he said, Yahweh, the God of Israel, there is no God like you, in heaven, or on earth; who keep covenant and lovingkindness with your servants, who walk before you with all their heart;
[ylt] and saith, `O Jehovah God of Israel, there is not like Thee a god in the heavens and in the earth, keeping the covenant and the kindness for Thy servants who are walking before Thee with all their heart;
[bbe] And he said, O Lord, the God of Israel, there is no God like you in heaven or on earth; keeping faith and mercy unchanging for your servants, while they go in your ways with all their hearts;
6:15
[cbgb] 向你仆人我父大卫所应许的话现在应验了。你亲口应许，亲手成就，正如今日一样。 < | >
[niv] You have kept your promise to your servant David my father; with your mouth you have promised and with your hand you have fulfilled it--as it is today.
[asv] who hast kept with thy servant David my father that which thou didst promise him: yea, thou spakest with thy mouth, and hast fulfilled it with thy hand, as it is this day.
[jnd] who hast kept with thy servant David my father that which thou didst promise him; thou spokest with thy mouth, and hast fulfilled with thy hand as at this day.

[niv] "Now LORD, God of Israel, keep for your servant David my father the promises you made to him when you said, `You shall never fail to have a man to sit before me on the throne of Israel, if only your sons are careful in all they do to walk before me according to my law, as you have done.'
[asv] Now therefore, O Jehovah, the God of Israel, keep with thy servant David my father that which thou hast promised him, saying, There shall not fail thee a man in my sight to sit on the throne of Israel, if only thy children take heed to their way, to walk in my law as thou hast walked before me.
[jnd] And now, Jehovah, God of Israel, keep with thy servant David my father that which thou hast promised him saying, There shall not fail thee a man in my sight to sit on the throne of Israel, if only thy sons take heed to their way to walk in my law, as thou hast walked before me.

[ylt] `And now, O Jehovah, God of Israel, keep for Thy servant David my father that which Thou didst speak to him, saying, There is not cut off to thee a man from before Me, sitting on the throne of Israel, only, if thy sons watch their way to walk in My law, as thou hast walked before Me.
[bbe] So now, O Lord, the God of Israel, let your word to your servant David, my father, come true, when you said, You will never be without a man to take his place before me on the seat of the kingdom of Israel; if only your children give attention to their ways, walking in my law, as you have done before me.

[niv] And now, O LORD, God of Israel, let your word that you promised your servant David come true.
[asv] Now therefore, O Jehovah, the God of Israel, let thy word be verified, which thou spakest unto thy servant David.

[niv] "But will God really dwell on earth with men? The heavens, even the highest heavens, cannot contain you. How much less this temple I have built!
[asv] But will God in very deed dwell with men on the earth? behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house which I have builded!
[jnd] But will God indeed dwell with man on the earth? behold, the heavens and the heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house which I have built!
[kjv] But will God in very deed dwell with men on the earth? behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house which I have built!

[ylt] (for is it true? -- God dwelleth with man on the earth! Lo, the heavens, and the heavens of the heavens, do not contain Thee, how much less this house that I have built?)
[bbe] But is it truly possible that God may be housed with men on earth? see, heaven and the heaven of heavens are not wide enough to be your resting-place: how much less this house which I have made:
6:19
[cbgb] 惟求耶和华我的　神垂顾仆人的祷告祈求，俯听仆人在你面前的祈祷呼吁。 < | >
[niv] Yet give attention to your servant's prayer and his plea for mercy, O LORD my God. Hear the cry and the prayer that your servant is praying in your presence.
[asv] Yet have thou respect unto the prayer of thy servant, and to his supplication, O Jehovah my God, to hearken unto the cry and to the prayer which thy servant prayeth before thee;
