[niv] For I know your eagerness to help, and I have been boasting about it to the Macedonians, telling them that since last year you in Achaia were ready to give; and your enthusiasm has stirred most of them to action.
[asv] for I know your readiness, of which I glory on your behalf to them of Macedonia, that Achaia hath been prepared for a year past; and your zeal hath stirred up very many of them.
[jnd] For I know your readiness, which I boast of as respects you to Macedonians, that Achaia is prepared since a year ago, and the zeal of you has stimulated the mass .

9:3

[niv] But I am sending the brothers in order that our boasting about you in this matter should not prove hollow, but that you may be ready, as I said you would be.

[niv] For if any Macedonians come with me and find you unprepared, we--not to say anything about you--would be ashamed of having been so confident.
[asv] lest by any means, if there come with me any of Macedonia and find you unprepared, we (that we say not, ye) should be put to shame in this confidence.

9:5
[cbgb] 因此我想不得不求那几位弟兄，先到你们那里去，把从前所应许的捐赀，豫备妥当，就显出你们所捐的，是出于乐意，不是出于勉强。 < | >
[niv] So I thought it necessary to urge the brothers to visit you in advance and finish the arrangements for the generous gift you had promised. Then it will be ready as a generous gift, not as one grudgingly given.
[asv] I thought it necessary therefore to entreat the brethren, that they would go before unto you, and make up beforehand your aforepromised bounty, that the same might be ready as a matter of bounty, and not of extortion.
[jnd] I thought it necessary therefore to beg the brethren that they would come to you, and complete beforehand your fore-announced blessing, that this may be ready thus as blessing, and not as got out of you.
[kjv] Therefore I thought it necessary to exhort the brethren, that they would go before unto you, and make up beforehand your bounty, whereof ye had notice before, that the same might be ready, as a matter of bounty, and not as of covetousness.

[ylt] Necessary, therefore, I thought to exhort the brethren, that they may go before to you, and may make up before your formerly announced blessing, that this be ready, as a blessing, and not as covetousness.
[bbe] So it seemed to me wise for the brothers to go before, and see that the amount which you had undertaken to give was ready, so that it might be a cause for praise, and not as if we were making profit out of you.
9:6

[niv] Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.
[asv] But this I say, He that soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he that soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.
[jnd] But this , he that sows sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he that sows in blessing shall reap also in blessing:

[ylt] And this: He who is sowing sparingly, sparingly also shall reap; and he who is sowing in blessings, in blessings also shall reap;
[bbe] But in the Writings it says, He who puts in only a small number of seeds, will get in the same; and he who puts them in from a full hand, will have produce in full measure from them.
9:7
[cbgb] 各人要随本心所酌定的。不要作难，不要勉强，因为捐得乐意的人，是　神所喜爱的。 < | >
[niv] Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
[asv] Let each man do according as he hath purposed in his heart: not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
[jnd] each according as he is purposed in his heart; not grievingly, or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.

[niv] And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.

9:9

[niv] As it is written: "He has scattered abroad his gifts to the poor; his righteousness endures forever."
[asv] as it is written,  He hath scattered abroad, he hath given to the poor;  His righteousness abideth for ever.
[jnd] according as it is written, He has scattered abroad, he has given to the poor, his righteousness remains for ever.

9:10

[niv] Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness.
[asv] And he that supplieth seed to the sower and bread for food, shall supply and multiply your seed for sowing, and increase the fruits of your righteousness:
[jnd] Now he that supplies seed to the sower and bread for eating shall supply and make abundant your sowing, and increase the fruits of your righteousness:
[kjv] Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;)

[niv] You will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.
[asv] ye being enriched in everything unto all liberality, which worketh through us thanksgiving to God.
[jnd] enriched in every way unto all free-hearted liberality, which works through us thanksgiving to God.
[kjv] Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God.

[niv] This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of God's people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God.
[asv] For the ministration of this service not only filleth up the measure of the wants of the saints, but aboundeth also through many thanksgivings unto God;
[jnd] Because the ministration of this service is not only filling up the measure of what is lacking to the saints, but also abounding by many thanksgivings to God;
[kjv] For the administration of this service not only supplieth the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God;

[rsv] for the rendering of this service not only supplies the wants of the saints but also overflows in many thanksgivings to God.

9:13
[cbgb] 他们从这供给的事上得了凭据，知道你们承认基督顺服他的福音，多多的捐钱给他们和众人，便将荣耀归与　神。 < | >
[niv] Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, men will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else.
[asv] seeing that through the proving of you by this ministration they glorify God for the obedience of your confession unto the gospel of Christ, and for the liberality of your contribution unto them and unto all;
[jnd] they glorifying God through the proof of this ministration, by reason of your subjection, by profession, to the glad tidings of the Christ, and your free-hearted liberality in communicating towards them and towards all;
[kjv] Whiles by the experiment of this ministration they glorify God for your professed subjection unto the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal distribution unto them, and unto all men;
[nwb] While by the experiment of this ministration they glorify God for your professed subjection to the gospel of Christ, and for liberal distribution to them, and to all ;

[niv] And in their prayers for you their hearts will go out to you, because of the surpassing grace God has given you.
[asv] while they themselves also, with supplication on your behalf, long after you by reason of the exceeding grace of God in you.
