[asv] For as I passed along, and observed the objects of your worship, I found also an altar with this inscription, TO AN UNKNOWN GOD. What therefore ye worship in ignorance, this I set forth unto you.
[jnd] for, passing through and beholding your shrines, I found also an altar on which was inscribed, To the unknown God. Whom therefore ye reverence, not knowing , him I announce to you.
[kjv] For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you.
[nwb] For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I to you.
[rsv] For as I passed along, and observed the objects of your worship, I found also an altar with this inscription, 'To an unknown god.' What therefore you worship as unknown, this I proclaim to you.
[web] For as I passed along, and observed the objects of your worship, I found also an altar with this inscription: 'TO AN UNKNOWN GOD.' What therefore you worship in ignorance, this I announce to you.
[ylt] for passing through and contemplating your objects of worship, I found also an erection on which had been inscribed: To God -- unknown; whom, therefore -- not knowing -- ye do worship, this One I announce to you.
[bbe] For when I came by, I was looking at the things to which you give worship, and I saw an altar with this writing on it, TO THE GOD OF WHOM THERE IS NO KNOWLEDGE. Now, what you, without knowledge, give worship to, I make clear to you.
17:24
[cbgb] 创造宇宙和其中万物的 神,既是天地的主,就不住人手所造的殿。 < | >
[niv] "The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by hands.
[asv] The God that made the world and all things therein, he, being Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;
[jnd] The God who has made the world and all things which are in it, *he*, being Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands,
[kjv] God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;
[nwb] God that made the world, and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;
[rsv] The God who made the world and everything in it, being Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in shrines made by man,
[web] The God who made the world and all things in it, he, being Lord of heaven and earth, dwells not in temples made with hands,
[ylt] `God, who did make the world, and all things in it, this One, of heaven and of earth being Lord, in temples made with hands doth not dwell,
[bbe] The God who made the earth and everything in it, he, being Lord of heaven and earth, is not housed in buildings made with hands;

[cbgb] 也不用人手服事,好像缺少什么,自己倒将生命气息,万物,赐给万人。 < | >
[niv] And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything, because he himself gives all men life and breath and everything else.
[asv] neither is he served by men's hands, as though he needed anything, seeing he himself giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;
[jnd] nor is served by men's hands as needing something, himself giving to all life and breath and all things;
[kjv] Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;
[nwb] Neither is worshiped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;
[rsv] nor is he served by human hands, as though he needed anything, since he himself gives to all men life and breath and everything.
[web] neither is he served by men's hands, as though he needed anything, seeing he himself gives to all life and breath, and all things.
[ylt] neither by the hands of men is He served -- needing anything, He giving to all life, and breath, and all things;
[bbe] And he is not dependent on the work of men's hands, as if he had need of anything, for he himself gives to all life and breath and all things;
17:26
[cbgb] 他从一本造出万族的人,(本有古卷作血脉),住在全地上,并且豫先定准他们的年限,和所住的疆界。 < | >
[niv] From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live.
[asv] and he made of one every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, having determined their appointed seasons, and the bounds of their habitation;
[jnd] and has made of one blood every nation of men to dwell upon the whole face of the earth, having determined ordained times and the boundaries of their dwelling,
[kjv] And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;
[nwb] And hath made of one blood all nations of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;
[rsv] And he made from one every nation of men to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their habitation,
[web] He made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the surface of the earth, having determined appointed seasons, and the bounds of their habitation,
[ylt] He made also of one blood every nation of men, to dwell upon all the face of the earth -- having ordained times before appointed, and the bounds of their dwellings --
[bbe] And he has made of one blood all the nations of men living on all the face of the earth, ordering their times and the limits of their lands,

[cbgb] 要叫他们寻求 神,或者可以揣摩而得,其实他离我们各人不远。 < | >
[niv] God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us.
[asv] that they should seek God, if haply they might feel after him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us:
[jnd] that they may seek God; if indeed they might feel after him and find him, although he is not far from each one of us:
[kjv] That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:
[nwb] That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he is not far from every one of us:
[rsv] that they should seek God, in the hope that they might feel after him and find him. Yet he is not far from each one of us,
[web] that they should seek the Lord, if perhaps they might reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us.
[ylt] to seek the Lord, if perhaps they did feel after Him and find, -- though, indeed, He is not far from each one of us,
[bbe] So that they might make search for God, in order, if possible, to get knowledge of him and make discovery of him, though he is not far from every one of us:

[cbgb] 我们生活,动作,存留,都在乎他,就如你们作诗的,有人说,我们也是他所生的。 < | >
[niv] `For in him we live and move and have our being.' As some of your own poets have said, `We are his offspring.'
[asv] for in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain even of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
[jnd] for in him we live and move and exist; as also some of the poets amongst you have said, For we are also his offspring.
[kjv] For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
[nwb] For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, for we are also his offspring.
[rsv] for 'In him we live and move and have our being'; as even some of your poets have said, 'For we are indeed his offspring.'
[web] 'For in him we live, and move, and have our being.' As some of your own poets have said, 'For we are also his offspring.'
[ylt] for in Him we live, and move, and are; as also certain of your poets have said: For of Him also we are offspring.
[bbe] For in him we have life and motion and existence; as certain of your verse writers have said, For we are his offspring.
17:29
[cbgb] 我们既是 神所生的,就不当以为 神的 神性像人用手艺,心思,所雕刻的金,银,石。 < | >
[niv] "Therefore since we are God's offspring, we should not think that the divine being is like gold or silver or stone--an image made by man's design and skill.
[asv] Being then the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and device of man.
[jnd] Being therefore offspring of God, we ought not to think that which is divine to be like gold or silver or stone, graven form of man's art and imagination.
[kjv] Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device.
[nwb] Being then the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like to gold, or silver, or stone graven by art and man's device.
[rsv] Being then God's offspring, we ought not to think that the Deity is like gold, or silver, or stone, a representation by the art and imagination of man.
[web] Being then the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Divine Nature is like gold, or silver, or stone, engraved by art and device of man.
[ylt] `Being, therefore, offspring of God, we ought not to think the Godhead to be like to gold, or silver, or stone, graving of art and device of man;
[bbe] If then we are the offspring of God, it is not right for us to have the idea that God is like gold or silver or stone, formed by the art or design of man.

[cbgb] 世人蒙昧无知的时后, 神并不监察,如今却吩咐各处的人都要悔改。 < | >
[niv] In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent.
[asv] The times of ignorance therefore God overlooked; but now he commandeth men that they should all everywhere repent:
[jnd] God therefore, having overlooked the times of ignorance, now enjoins men that they shall all everywhere repent,
[kjv] And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:
[nwb] And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:
[rsv] The times of ignorance God overlooked, but now he commands all men everywhere to repent,
[web] The times of ignorance therefore God overlooked. But now he commands that all men everywhere should repent,
[ylt] the times, indeed, therefore, of the ignorance God having overlooked, doth now command all men everywhere to reform,
[bbe] Those times when men had no knowledge were overlooked by God; but now he gives orders to all men in every place to undergo a change of heart:

[cbgb] 因为他已经定了日子,要藉着他所设立的人,按公义审判天下。并且叫他从死里复活,给万人作可信的凭据。 < | >
[niv] For he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed. He has given proof of this to all men by raising him from the dead."
[asv] inasmuch as he hath appointed a day in which he will judge the world in righteousness by the man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.
[jnd] because he has set a day in which he is going to judge the habitable earth in righteousness by man whom he has appointed, giving the proof to all having raised him from among dead.
[kjv] Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.
[nwb] Because he hath appointed a day, in which he will judge the world in righteousness, by man whom he hath ordained: he hath given assurance to all , in that he hath raised him from the dead.
[rsv] because he has fixed a day on which he will judge the world in righteousness by a man whom he has appointed, and of this he has given assurance to all men by raising him from the dead."
[web] because he has appointed a day in which he will judge the world in righteousness by the man whom he has ordained; whereof he has given assurance to all men, in that he has raised him from the dead."
[ylt] because He did set a day in which He is about to judge the world in righteousness, by a man whom He did ordain, having given assurance to all, having raised him out of the dead.'
[bbe] Because a day has been fixed in which all the world will be judged in righteousness by the man who has been marked out by him for this work; of which he has given a sign to all men by giving him back from the dead.

[cbgb] 众人听见从死里复活的话,就有讥诮他的,又有人说,我们再听你讲这个吧。 < | >
[niv] When they heard about the resurrection of the dead, some of them sneered, but others said, "We want to hear you again on this subject."
[asv] Now when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some mocked; but others said, We will hear thee concerning this yet again.
[jnd] And when they heard resurrection of the dead, some mocked, and some said, We will hear thee again also concerning this.
[kjv] And when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some mocked: and others said, We will hear thee again of this matter.
[nwb] And when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some mocked: and others said, We will hear thee again concerning this .
[rsv] Now when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some mocked; but others said, "We will hear you again about this."
[web] . Now when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some mocked; but others said, "We want to hear you yet again concerning this."
[ylt] And having heard of a rising again of the dead, some, indeed, were mocking, but others said, `We will hear thee again concerning this;'
[bbe] Now on hearing about the coming back from death, some of them made sport of it, but others said, Let us go more fully into this another time.

[cbgb] 于是保罗从他们中出去了。 < | >
[niv] At that, Paul left the Council.
[asv] Thus Paul went out from among them.
[jnd] Thus Paul went out of their midst.
[kjv] So Paul departed from among them.
[nwb] So Paul departed from among them.
[rsv] So Paul went out from among them.
[web] . Thus Paul went out from among them.
[ylt] and so Paul went forth from the midst of them,
[bbe] And so Paul went away from among them.

[niv] A few men became followers of Paul and believed. Among them was Dionysius, a member of the Areopagus, also a woman named Damaris, and a number of others.
[asv] But certain men clave unto him, and believed: among whom also was Dionysius the Areopagite, and a woman named Damaris, and others with them.
[jnd] But some men joining themselves to him believed; among whom also was Dionysius the Areopagite, and a woman by name Damaris, and others with them.
[kjv] Howbeit certain men clave unto him, and believed: among the which was Dionysius the Areopagite, and a woman named Damaris, and others with them.
[nwb] But certain men adhered to him, and believed: among whom Dionysius the Areopagite, and a woman named Damaris, and others with them.
[rsv] But some men joined him and believed, among them Dionys'ius the Are-op'agite and a woman named Dam'aris and others with them.
[web] But certain men joined with him, and believed, among whom also was Dionysius the Areopagite, and a woman named Damaris, and others with them.
[ylt] and certain men having cleaved to him, did believe, among whom also Dionysius the Areopagite, and a woman, by name Damaris, and others with them.
[bbe] But some men gave him their support: among whom was Dionysius the Areopagite, and a woman named Damaris, and others with them.
