9:2

[niv] If you refuse to let them go and continue to hold them back,

[niv] the hand of the LORD will bring a terrible plague on your livestock in the field--on your horses and donkeys and camels and on your cattle and sheep and goats.
[asv] behold, the hand of Jehovah is upon thy cattle which are in the field, upon the horses, upon the asses, upon the camels, upon the herds, and upon the flocks: there shall be a very grievous murrain.
[jnd] behold, the hand of Jehovah shall be on thy cattle which is in the field, on the horses, on the asses, on the camels, on the oxen and on the sheep, with a very grievous plague.
[kjv] Behold, the hand of the LORD is upon thy cattle which is in the field, upon the horses, upon the asses, upon the camels, upon the oxen, and upon the sheep: there shall be a very grievous murrain.

[ylt] lo, the hand of Jehovah is on thy cattle which in the field, on horses, on asses, on camels, on herd, and on flock -- a pestilence very grievous.
[bbe] Then the hand of the Lord will put on your cattle in the field, on the horses and the asses and the camels, on the herds and the flocks, a very evil disease.
9:4
[cbgb] 耶和华要分别以色列的牲畜和埃及的牲畜,凡属以色列人的,一样都不死。 < | >
[niv] But the LORD will make a distinction between the livestock of Israel and that of Egypt, so that no animal belonging to the Israelites will die.'"
[asv] And Jehovah shall make a distinction between the cattle of Israel and the cattle of Egypt; and there shall nothing die of all that belongeth to the children of Israel.

9:5

[niv] The LORD set a time and said, "Tomorrow the LORD will do this in the land."
[asv] And Jehovah appointed a set time, saying, To-morrow Jehovah shall do this thing in the land.

9:6

[niv] And the next day the LORD did it: All the livestock of the Egyptians died, but not one animal belonging to the Israelites died.

[niv] Pharaoh sent men to investigate and found that not even one of the animals of the Israelites had died. Yet his heart was unyielding and he would not let the people go.
[asv] And Pharaoh sent, and, behold, there was not so much as one of the cattle of the Israelites dead. But the heart of Pharaoh was stubborn, and he did not let the people go.

[niv] Then the LORD said to Moses and Aaron, "Take handfuls of soot from a furnace and have Moses toss it into the air in the presence of Pharaoh.
[asv] And Jehovah said unto Moses and unto Aaron, Take to you handfuls of ashes of the furnace, and let Moses sprinkle it toward heaven in the sight of Pharaoh.
[jnd] And Jehovah said to Moses and to Aaron, Take to yourselves handfuls of ashes of the furnace, and let Moses scatter it toward the heavens before the eyes of Pharaoh.
[kjv] And the LORD said unto Moses and unto Aaron, Take to you handfuls of ashes of the furnace, and let Moses sprinkle it toward the heaven in the sight of Pharaoh.

[ylt] And Jehovah saith unto Moses and unto Aaron, `Take to you the fulness of your hands soot of a furnace, and Moses hath sprinkled it towards the heavens, before the eyes of Pharaoh,
[bbe] And the Lord said to Moses and to Aaron, Take in your hand a little dust from the fire and let Moses send it in a shower up to heaven before the eyes of Pharaoh.
9:9

[niv] It will become fine dust over the whole land of Egypt, and festering boils will break out on men and animals throughout the land."
[asv] And it shall become small dust over all the land of Egypt, and shall be a boil breaking forth with blains upon man and upon beast, throughout all the land of Egypt.
[jnd] And it shall become fine dust over all the land of Egypt, and shall become boils on man and on cattle, breaking out blisters, throughout the land of Egypt.

[niv] But the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart and he would not listen to Moses and Aaron, just as the LORD had said to Moses.
[asv] And Jehovah hardened the heart of Pharaoh, and he hearkened not unto them, as Jehovah had spoken unto Moses.
[jnd] And Jehovah made Pharaoh's heart stubborn, and he did not hearken to them, as Jehovah had told Moses.

[jnd] And Jehovah said to Moses, Rise up early in the morning, and set thyself before Pharaoh, and say to him, Thus saith Jehovah, the God of the Hebrews: Let my people go, that they may serve me.

[niv] or this time I will send the full force of my plagues against you and against your officials and your people, so you may know that there is no one like me in all the earth.
[asv] For I will this time send all my plagues upon thy heart, and upon thy servants, and upon thy people; that thou mayest know that there is none like me in all the earth.
[jnd] For I will at this time send all my plagues to thy heart, and on thy bondmen, and on thy people; that thou mayest know that there is none like me in all the earth.

[niv] For by now I could have stretched out my hand and struck you and your people with a plague that would have wiped you off the earth.
[asv] For now I had put forth my hand, and smitten thee and thy people with pestilence, and thou hadst been cut off from the earth:
[jnd] For now shall I put forth my hand, and I will smite thee and thy people with pestilence; and thou shalt be cut off from the earth.
[kjv] For now I will stretch out my hand, that I may smite thee and thy people with pestilence; and thou shalt be cut off from the earth.

[niv] But I have raised you up for this very purpose, that I might show you my power and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.
[asv] but in very deed for this cause have I made thee to stand, to show thee my power, and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth.

[niv] You still set yourself against my people and will not let them go.
[asv] As yet exaltest thou thyself against my people, that thou wilt not let them go?
[jnd] Dost thou still exalt thyself against my people, that thou wilt not let them go?

[niv] Therefore, at this time tomorrow I will send the worst hailstorm that has ever fallen on Egypt, from the day it was founded till now.
[asv] Behold, to-morrow about this time I will cause it to rain a very grievous hail, such as hath not been in Egypt since the day it was founded even until now.

[asv] Now therefore send, hasten in thy cattle and all that thou hast in the field; for every man and beast that shall be found in the field, and shall not be brought home, the hail shall come down upon them, and they shall die.
