[niv]	Speak to him and say: `This is what the Sovereign LORD says: "`I am against you, Pharaoh king of Egypt, you great monster lying among your streams. You say, "The Nile is mine; I made it for myself."

[bbe]	Say to them, These are the words of the Lord: See, I am against you, Pharaoh, king of Egypt, the great river-beast stretched out among his Nile streams, who has said, The Nile is mine, and I have made it for myself.

[cbgb]	我耶和华必用钩子钩住你的腮颊，又使江河中的鱼贴住你的鳞甲。我必将你和所有贴住你鳞甲的鱼，从江河中拉上来， < \| >
[niv]	But I will put hooks in your jaws and make the fish of your streams stick to your scales. I will pull you out from among your streams, with all the fish sticking to your scales.
[asv]	And I will put hooks in thy jaws, and I will cause the fish of thy rivers to stick unto thy scales; and I will bring thee up out of the midst of thy rivers, with all the fish of thy rivers which stick unto thy scales.

29:5
[cbgb]	把你并江河中的鱼都抛在旷野。你必倒在田间，不被收殓，不被掩埋。我已将你给地上野兽，空中飞鸟作食物。 < \| >
[niv]	I will leave you in the desert, you and all the fish of your streams. You will fall on the open field and not be gathered or picked up. I will give you as food to the beasts of the earth and the birds of the air.
[asv]	And I will cast thee forth into the wilderness, thee and all the fish of thy rivers: thou shalt fall upon the open field; thou shalt not be brought together, nor gathered; I have given thee for food to the beasts of the earth and to the birds of the heavens.

[niv]	Then all who live in Egypt will know that I am the LORD. "`You have been a staff of reed for the house of Israel.
[asv]	And all the inhabitants of Egypt shall know that I am Jehovah, because they have been a staff of reed to the house of Israel.

[bbe]	And it will be clear to all the people of Egypt that I am the Lord, because you have been a false support to the children of Israel.
29:7

[niv]	When they grasped you with their hands, you splintered and you tore open their shoulders; when they leaned on you, you broke and their backs were wrenched.
[asv]	When they took hold of thee by thy hand, thou didst break, and didst rend all their shoulders; and when they leaned upon thee, thou brakest, and madest all their loins to be at a stand.

[bbe]	When they took a grip of you in their hands, you were crushed so that their arms were broken: and when they put their weight on you for support, you were broken and all their muscles gave way.
29:8
[cbgb]	所以主耶和华如此说，我必使刀剑临到你，从你中间将人与牲畜剪除。 < \| >
[niv]	"`Therefore this is what the Sovereign LORD says: I will bring a sword against you and kill your men and their animals.
[asv]	Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I will bring a sword upon thee, and will cut off from thee man and beast.
[jnd]	Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I will bring a sword upon thee, and cut off man and beast from thee.

[niv]	Egypt will become a desolate wasteland. Then they will know that I am the LORD. "`Because you said, "The Nile is mine; I made it,"
[asv]	And the land of Egypt shall be a desolation and a waste; and they shall know that I am Jehovah. Because he hath said, The river is mine, and I have made it;
[jnd]	And the land of Egypt shall be a desolation and a waste: and they shall know that I Jehovah, because he saith, The river is mine, and I made it.

[niv]	therefore I am against you and against your streams, and I will make the land of Egypt a ruin and a desolate waste from Migdol to Aswan, as far as the border of Cush.
[asv]	therefore, behold, I am against thee, and against thy rivers, and I will make the land of Egypt an utter waste and desolation, from the tower of Seveneh even unto the border of Ethiopia.
[jnd]	Therefore behold, I am against thee, and against thy rivers, and I will make the land of Egypt deserts of wasteness and desolation, from Migdol to Syene, even unto the border of Ethiopia.

[niv]	No foot of man or animal will pass through it; no one will live there for forty years.
[asv]	No foot of man shall pass through it, nor foot of beast shall pass through it, neither shall it be inhabited forty years.

[niv]	I will make the land of Egypt desolate among devastated lands, and her cities will lie desolate forty years among ruined cities. And I will disperse the Egyptians among the nations and scatter them through the countries.

[niv]	"`Yet this is what the Sovereign LORD says: At the end of forty years I will gather the Egyptians from the nations where they were scattered.

[niv]	I will bring them back from captivity and return them to Upper Egypt, the land of their ancestry. There they will be a lowly kingdom.
[asv]	and I will bring back the captivity of Egypt, and will cause them to return into the land of Pathros, into the land of their birth; and they shall be there a base kingdom.

[cbgb]	必为列国中最低微的，也不再自高于列国之上。我必减少他们，以致不再辖制列国。 < \| >
[niv]	It will be the lowliest of kingdoms and will never again exalt itself above the other nations. I will make it so weak that it will never again rule over the nations.
[asv]	It shall be the basest of the kingdoms; neither shall it any more lift itself up above the nations: and I will diminish them, that they shall no more rule over the nations.

[niv]	Egypt will no longer be a source of confidence for the people of Israel but will be a reminder of their sin in turning to her for help. Then they will know that I am the Sovereign LORD.'"
[asv]	And it shall be no more the confidence of the house of Israel, bringing iniquity to remembrance, when they turn to look after them: and they shall know that I am the Lord Jehovah.

[rsv]	And it shall never again be the reliance of the house of Israel, recalling their iniquity, when they turn to them for aid. Then they will know that I am the Lord GOD."

[niv]	"Son of man, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon drove his army in a hard campaign against Tyre; every head was rubbed bare and every shoulder made raw. Yet he and his army got no reward from the campaign he led against Tyre.

[bbe]	Son of man, Nebuchadrezzar, king of Babylon, made his army do hard work against Tyre, and the hair came off every head and every arm was rubbed smooth: but he and his army got no payment out of Tyre for the hard work which he had done against it.

[niv]	Therefore this is what the Sovereign LORD says: I am going to give Egypt to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and he will carry off its wealth. He will loot and plunder the land as pay for his army.

[niv]	I have given him Egypt as a reward for his efforts because he and his army did it for me, declares the Sovereign LORD.
[asv]	I have given him the land of Egypt as his recompense for which he served, because they wrought for me, saith the Lord Jehovah.
