[niv] You have made the city a heap of rubble, the fortified town a ruin, the foreigners' stronghold a city no more; it will never be rebuilt.
[asv] For thou hast made of a city a heap, of a fortified city a ruin, a palace of strangers to be no city; it shall never be built.

[niv] Therefore strong peoples will honor you; cities of ruthless nations will revere you.
[asv] Therefore shall a strong people glorify thee; a city of terrible nations shall fear thee.

25:4
[cbgb] 因为当强暴人催逼人的时候，如同暴风直吹墙壁，你就作贫穷人的保障，作困乏人急难中的保障，作躲暴风之处，作避炎热的阴凉。 < | >
[niv] You have been a refuge for the poor, a refuge for the needy in his distress, a shelter from the storm and a shade from the heat. For the breath of the ruthless is like a storm driving against a wall
[asv] For thou hast been a stronghold to the poor, a stronghold to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shade from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall.
[jnd] For thou hast been a fortress to the poor, a fortress for the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat: for the blast of the terrible ones as the storm a wall.

[cbgb] 你要压制外邦人的喧哗，好像乾燥地的热气下落，禁止强暴人的凯歌，好像热气被云影消化。 < | >
[niv] and like the heat of the desert. You silence the uproar of foreigners; as heat is reduced by the shadow of a cloud, so the song of the ruthless is stilled.
[asv] As the heat in a dry place wilt thou bring down the noise of strangers; as the heat by the shade of a cloud, the song of the terrible ones shall be brought low.
[jnd] Thou hast subdued the tumult of strangers, as the heat in a dry place; the heat, by the shadow of a cloud, the song of the terrible ones is brought low.
[kjv] Thou shalt bring down the noise of strangers, as the heat in a dry place; even the heat with the shadow of a cloud: the branch of the terrible ones shall be brought low.

25:6
[cbgb] 在这山上万军之耶和华，必为万民用肥甘设摆筵席，用陈酒和满髓的肥甘，并澄清的陈酒，设摆筵席。 < | >
[niv] On this mountain the LORD Almighty will prepare a feast of rich food for all peoples, a banquet of aged wine-- the best of meats and the finest of wines.
[asv] And in this mountain will Jehovah of hosts make unto all peoples a feast of fat things, a feast of wines on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the lees well refined.

[bbe] And in this mountain will the Lord of armies make for all peoples a feast of good things, a feast of wines long stored, of good things sweet to the taste, of wines long kept and tested.
25:7
[cbgb] 他又必在这山上，除灭遮盖万民之物，和遮蔽万国蒙脸的帕子。 < | >
[niv] On this mountain he will destroy the shroud that enfolds all peoples, the sheet that covers all nations;
[asv] And he will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering that covereth all peoples, and the veil that is spread over all nations.
[jnd] And he will destroy in this mountain the face of the veil which veileth all the peoples, and the covering that is spread over all the nations.
[kjv] And he will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people, and the vail that is spread over all nations.

[ylt] And swallowed up hath He in this mountain The face of the wrapping that is wrapped over all the peoples, And of the covering that is spread over all the nations.
[bbe] And in this mountain he will put an end to the shade covering the face of all peoples, and the veil which is stretched over all nations.
25:8

[niv] he will swallow up death forever. The Sovereign LORD will wipe away the tears from all faces; he will remove the disgrace of his people from all the earth. The LORD has spoken.
[asv] He hath swallowed up death for ever; and the Lord Jehovah will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the reproach of his people will he take away from off all the earth: for Jehovah hath spoken it.

25:9

[niv] In that day they will say, "Surely this is our God; we trusted in him, and he saved us. This is the LORD, we trusted in him; let us rejoice and be glad in his salvation."
[asv] And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is Jehovah; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.

25:10
[cbgb] 耶和华的手，必按在这山上。摩押人在所居之地必被践踏，好像乾草被践踏在粪池的水中。 < | >
[niv] The hand of the LORD will rest on this mountain; but Moab will be trampled under him as straw is trampled down in the manure.
[asv] For in this mountain will the hand of Jehovah rest; and Moab shall be trodden down in his place, even as straw is trodden down in the water of the dung-hill.
[jnd] For in this mountain shall the hand of Jehovah rest, and Moab shall be trodden down under him, as straw is trodden down in the dunghill;
[kjv] For in this mountain shall the hand of the LORD rest, and Moab shall be trodden down under him, even as straw is trodden down for the dunghill.

25:11
[cbgb] 他必在其中伸开手，好像遂水的伸开手遂水一样。但耶和华必使他的骄傲，和他手所行的诡计，一并败落。 < | >
[niv] They will spread out their hands in it, as a swimmer spreads out his hands to swim. God will bring down their pride despite the cleverness of their hands.
[asv] And he shall spread forth his hands in the midst thereof, as he that swimmeth spreadeth forth his hands to swim; but Jehovah will lay low his pride together with the craft of his hands.
[jnd] and he shall spread forth his hands in the midst of them, as he that swimmeth spreadeth them forth to swim; and he shall bring down their pride together with the plots of their hands.
[kjv] And he shall spread forth his hands in the midst of them, as he that swimmeth spreadeth forth his hands to swim: and he shall bring down their pride together with the spoils of their hands.
[nwb] And he will spread forth his hands in the midst of them, as he that swimmeth spreadeth forth to swim: and he will bring down their pride together with the spoils of their hands.

[ylt] And he spread out his hands in its midst, As spread out doth the swimmer to swim; And He hath humbled his excellency With the machinations of his hands.
[bbe] And if he puts out his hands, like a man stretching out his hands in swimming, the Lord will make low his pride, however expert his designs.
25:12
[cbgb] 耶和华使你城上的坚固高台倾倒，拆平直到尘埃。 <
[niv] He will bring down your high fortified walls and lay them low; he will bring them down to the ground, to the very dust.
[asv] And the high fortress of thy walls hath he brought down, laid low, and brought to the ground, even to the dust.
[jnd] And the fortress of the high defences of thy walls will he bring down, lay low, bring to the ground, into the dust.
