[niv] When Ahaz son of Jotham, the son of Uzziah, was king of Judah, King Rezin of Aram and Pekah son of Remaliah king of Israel marched up to fight against Jerusalem, but they could not overpower it.
[asv] And it came to pass in the days of Ahaz the son of Jotham, the son of Uzziah, king of Judah, that Rezin the king of Syria, and Pekah the son of Remaliah, king of Israel, went up to Jerusalem to war against it, but could not prevail against it.

[niv] Then the LORD said to Isaiah, "Go out, you and your son Shear-Jashub, to meet Ahaz at the end of the aqueduct of the Upper Pool, on the road to the Washerman's Field.
[asv] Then said Jehovah unto Isaiah, Go forth now to meet Ahaz, thou, and Shear-jashub thy son, at the end of the conduit of the upper pool, in the highway of the fuller's field;
[jnd] And Jehovah said to Isaiah, Go out now to meet Ahaz, thou and thy son Shear-jashub, at the end of the aqueduct of the upper pool, on the highway of the fuller's field;

[ylt] And Jehovah saith unto Isaiah, `Go forth, I pray thee, to meet Ahaz, thou, and Shear-Jashub thy son, unto the end of the conduit of the upper pool, unto the highway of the fuller's field,
[bbe] Then the Lord said to Isaiah, Go out now, you and Shear-jashub, your son, and you will come across Ahaz at the end of the stream flowing from the higher pool, in the highway of the washerman's field;

[cbgb] 对他说,你要谨慎安静。不要因亚兰王利汛,和利玛利的儿子,这两个冒烟的火把头所发的烈怒害怕,也不要心里胆怯。 < | >
[niv] Say to him, `Be careful, keep calm and don't be afraid. Do not lose heart because of these two smoldering stubs of firewood--because of the fierce anger of Rezin and Aram and of the son of Remaliah.
[asv] and say unto him, Take heed, and be quiet; fear not, neither let thy heart be faint, because of these two tails of smoking firebrands, for the fierce anger of Rezin and Syria, and of the son of Remaliah.
[jnd] and thou shalt say unto him, Take heed and be quiet; fear not, and let not thy heart faint before these two ends of smoking firebrands, because of the fierce anger of Rezin and Syria, and of the son of Remaliah.

[niv] Yet this is what the Sovereign LORD says: "`It will not take place, it will not happen,

[niv] for the head of Aram is Damascus, and the head of Damascus is only Rezin. Within sixty-five years Ephraim will be too shattered to be a people.
[asv] For the head of Syria is Damascus, and the head of Damascus is Rezin; and within threescore and five years shall Ephraim be broken in pieces, so that is shall not be a people:

[niv] But Ahaz said, "I will not ask; I will not put the LORD to the test."
[asv] But Ahaz said, I will not ask, neither will I tempt Jehovah.

[niv] Then Isaiah said, "Hear now, you house of David! Is it not enough to try the patience of men? Will you try the patience of my God also?
[asv] And he said, Hear ye now, O house of David: Is it a small thing for you to weary men, that ye will weary my God also?

[niv] He will eat curds and honey when he knows enough to reject the wrong and choose the right.
[asv] Butter and honey shall he eat, when he knoweth to refuse the evil, and choose the good.

[niv] But before the boy knows enough to reject the wrong and choose the right, the land of the two kings you dread will be laid waste.
[asv] For before the child shall know to refuse the evil, and choose the good, the land whose two kings thou abhorrest shall be forsaken.

[niv] The LORD will bring on you and on your people and on the house of your father a time unlike any since Ephraim broke away from Judah--he will bring the king of Assyria."
[asv] Jehovah will bring upon thee, and upon thy people, and upon thy father's house, days that have not come, from the day that Ephraim departed from Judah-even the king of Assyria.

[niv] In that day the LORD will whistle for flies from the distant streams of Egypt and for bees from the land of Assyria.
[asv] And it shall come to pass in that day, that Jehovah will hiss for the fly that is in the uttermost part of the rivers of Egypt, and for the bee that is in the land of Assyria.
[jnd] And it shall come to pass in that day, that Jehovah will hiss for the fly which is at the extremity of the streams of Egypt, and for the bee which is in the land of Assyria;
[kjv] And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall hiss for the fly that is in the uttermost part of the rivers of Egypt, and for the bee that is in the land of Assyria.

[cbgb] 那时,主必用大河外赁的剃头刀,就是亚述王,剃去头发,和脚上的毛,并要剃净胡须。 < | >
[niv] In that day the Lord will use a razor hired from beyond the River --the king of Assyria--to shave your head and the hair of your legs, and to take off your beards also.
[asv] In that day will the Lord shave with a razor that is hired in the parts beyond the River, even with the king of Assyria, the head and the hair of the feet; and it shall also consume the beard.
[jnd] In that day will the Lord, with a razor which is hired beyond the river, with the king of Assyria, shave the head and the hair of the feet, yea, the beard also will it take away.

[niv] And because of the abundance of the milk they give, he will have curds to eat. All who remain in the land will eat curds and honey.
[asv] and it shall come to pass, that because of the abundance of milk which they shall give he shall eat butter: for butter and honey shall every one eat that is left in the midst of the land.
[jnd] and it shall come to pass, from the abundance of milk they shall give, he shall eat butter; for every one that remaineth in the midst of the land shall eat butter and honey.

[niv] In that day, in every place where there were a thousand vines worth a thousand silver shekels, there will be only briers and thorns.
[asv] And it shall come to pass in that day, that every place, where there were a thousand vines at a thousand silverlings, shall be for briers and thorns.
[jnd] And it shall come to pass in that day, every place, where there were a thousand vines at a thousand silver pieces, shall become briars and thorns:
[kjv] And it shall come to pass in that day, that every place shall be, where there were a thousand vines at a thousand silverlings, it shall even be for briers and thorns.
[nwb] And it shall come to pass in that day, every place shall be, where there were a thousand vines at a thousand pieces of silver, it shall be for briers and thorns.

[niv] Men will go there with bow and arrow, for the land will be covered with briers and thorns.
[asv] With arrows and with bow shall one come thither, because all the land shall be briers and thorns.

[niv] As for all the hills once cultivated by the hoe, you will no longer go there for fear of the briers and thorns; they will become places where cattle are turned loose and where sheep run.
[asv] And all the hills that were digged with the mattock, thou shalt not come thither for fear of briers and thorns; but it shall be for the sending forth of oxen, and for the treading of sheep.
[jnd] And all mountains that have been dug up with the hoe -- thither will they not come, from fear of briars and thorns; and they shall be for the sending forth of oxen, and for the treading of small cattle.
[kjv] And on all hills that shall be digged with the mattock, there shall not come thither the fear of briers and thorns: but it shall be for the sending forth of oxen, and for the treading of lesser cattle.
