[cbgb] 人岂能使　神有益呢？智慧人但能有益于己。 < | >
[niv] "Can a man be of benefit to God? Can even a wise man benefit him?
[asv] Can a man be profitable unto God?  Surely he that is wise is profitable unto himself.  
[jnd] Can a man be profitable to 鵊od? surely it is unto himself that the wise man is profitable.
[kjv] Can a man be profitable unto God, as he that is wise may be profitable unto himself?
[nwb] Can a man be profitable to God, as he that is wise may be profitable to himself?
[rsv] "Can a man be profitable to God? Surely he who is wise is profitable to himself.

[bbe] Is it possible for a man to be of profit to God? No, for a man's wisdom is only of profit to himself.

[niv] What pleasure would it give the Almighty if you were righteous? What would he gain if your ways were blameless?
[asv] Is it any pleasure to the Almighty, that thou art righteous?  Or is it gain to him, that thou makest thy ways perfect?  
[jnd] Is it any pleasure to the Almighty if thou art righteous? And is it gain that thou makest thy ways perfect?
[kjv] Is it any pleasure to the Almighty, that thou art righteous? or is it gain to him, that thou makest thy ways perfect?

[niv] "Is it for your piety that he rebukes you and brings charges against you?
[asv] Is it for thy fear of him that he reproveth thee,  That he entereth with thee into judgment?

[niv] Is not your wickedness great? Are not your sins endless?
[asv] Is not thy wickedness great?  Neither is there any end to thine iniquities.

[niv] You demanded security from your brothers for no reason; you stripped men of their clothing, leaving them naked.
[asv] For thou hast taken pledges of thy brother for nought,  And stripped the naked of their clothing.  
[jnd] For thou hast taken a pledge of thy brother for nought, and stripped off the clothing of the naked.
[kjv] For thou hast taken a pledge from thy brother for nought, and stripped the naked of their clothing.

[niv] You gave no water to the weary and you withheld food from the hungry,
[asv] Thou hast not given water to the weary to drink,  And thou hast withholden bread from the hungry.  
[jnd] Thou hast not given water to the fainting to drink, and thou hast withholden bread from the hungry.

[asv] But as for the mighty man, he had the earth;  And the honorable man, he dwelt in it.

[asv] Therefore snares are round about thee,  And sudden fear troubleth thee,

[asv] Or darkness, so that thou canst not see,  And abundance of waters cover thee.

[asv] And thou sayest, What doth God know?  Can he judge through the thick darkness?

[niv] Thick clouds veil him, so he does not see us as he goes about in the vaulted heavens.'
[asv] Thick clouds are a covering to him, so that he seeth not;  And he walketh on the vault of heaven.

[niv] Will you keep to the old path that evil men have trod?
[asv] Wilt thou keep the old way  Which wicked men have trodden?  
[jnd] Dost thou mark the ancient path which wicked men have trodden?

[niv] They were carried off before their time, their foundations washed away by a flood.
[asv] Who were snatched away before their time,  Whose foundation was poured out as a stream,  
[jnd] Who were carried off before the time, whose foundation was overflowed with a flood;
[kjv] Which were cut down out of time, whose foundation was overflown with a flood:
[nwb] Who were cut down out of time, whose foundation was overflowed with a flood!

[niv] They said to God, `Leave us alone! What can the Almighty do to us?'
[asv] Who said unto God, Depart from us;  And, What can the Almighty do for us?

[kjv] Which said unto God, Depart from us: and what can the Almighty do for them?
[nwb] Who said to God, depart from us: and what can the Almighty do for them!

[niv] Yet it was he who filled their houses with good things, so I stand aloof from the counsel of the wicked.

[niv] "Submit to God and be at peace with him; in this way prosperity will come to you.
[asv] Acquaint now thyself with him, and be at peace:  Thereby good shall come unto thee.

[niv] If you return to the Almighty, you will be restored: If you remove wickedness far from your tent
[asv] If thou return to the Almighty, thou shalt be built up,  If thou put away unrighteousness far from thy tents.  
[jnd] If thou return to the Almighty, thou shalt be built up. If thou remove unrighteousness far from thy tents,
[kjv] If thou return to the Almighty, thou shalt be built up, thou shalt put away iniquity far from thy tabernacles.

[niv] and assign your nuggets to the dust, your gold of Ophir to the rocks in the ravines,
[asv] And lay thou thy treasure in the dust,  And the gold of Ophir among the stones of the brooks;  
[jnd] And put the precious ore with the dust, and Ophir among the stones of the torrents,
[kjv] Then shalt thou lay up gold as dust, and the gold of Ophir as the stones of the brooks.

[niv] then the Almighty will be your gold, the choicest silver for you.
[asv] And the Almighty will be thy treasure,  And precious silver unto thee.  
[jnd] Then the Almighty will be thy precious ore, and silver heaped up unto thee;
[kjv] Yea, the Almighty shall be thy defence, and thou shalt have plenty of silver.

[niv] Surely then you will find delight in the Almighty and will lift up your face to God.
[asv] For then shalt thou delight thyself in the Almighty,  And shalt lift up thy face unto God.

[asv] Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee;  And light shall shine upon thy ways.

[niv] When men are brought low and you say, `Lift them up!' then he will save the downcast.
[asv] When they cast thee down, thou shalt say, There is lifting up;  And the humble person he will save.  
[jnd] When they are made low, then thou shalt say, Rise up! and he shall save him that is of downcast eyes.
[kjv] When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, There is lifting up; and he shall save the humble person.
[nwb] When are cast down, then thou shalt say, exaltation; and he shall save the humble person.
[rsv] For God abases the proud, but he saves the lowly.

[bbe] For God makes low those whose hearts are lifted up, but he is a saviour to the poor in spirit.

[cbgb] 人非无辜，　神且要搭救他。他因你手中清洁，必蒙拯救。 <
[niv] He will deliver even one who is not innocent, who will be delivered through the cleanness of your hands."
[asv] He will deliver even him that is not innocent:  Yea, he shall be delivered through the cleanness of thy hands.
