[niv] But Elihu son of Barakel the Buzite, of the family of Ram, became very angry with Job for justifying himself rather than God.
[asv] Then was kindled the wrath of Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite, of the family of Ram: against Job was his wrath kindled, because he justified himself rather than God.
[jnd] Then was kindled the anger of Elihu the son of Barachel, the Buzite, of the family of Ram: against Job was his anger kindled, because he justified himself rather than God;

32:3

[niv] He was also angry with the three friends, because they had found no way to refute Job, and yet had condemned him.
[asv] Also against his three friends was his wrath kindled, because they had found no answer, and yet had condemned Job.

[niv] So Elihu son of Barakel the Buzite said: "I am young in years, and you are old; that is why I was fearful, not daring to tell you what I know.
[asv] And Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite answered and said,  I am young, and ye are very old;  Wherefore I held back, and durst not show you mine opinion.  
[jnd] And Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite answered and said, I am young, and ye are aged; wherefore I was timid, and feared to shew you what I know.
[kjv] And Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite answered and said, I am young, and ye are very old; wherefore I was afraid, and durst not shew you mine opinion.

[bbe] And Elihu, the son of Barachel the Buzite, made answer and said, I am young, and you are very old, so I was in fear, and kept myself from putting my knowledge before you.
32:7

[niv] I thought, `Age should speak; advanced years should teach wisdom.'
[asv] I said, Days should speak,  And multitude of years should teach wisdom.

[niv] But it is the spirit in a man, the breath of the Almighty, that gives him understanding.
[asv] But there is a spirit in man,  And the breath of the Almighty giveth them understanding.

[niv] I waited while you spoke, I listened to your reasoning; while you were searching for words,
[asv] Behold, I waited for your words,  I listened for your reasonings,  Whilst ye searched out what to say.

[niv] I gave you my full attention. But not one of you has proved Job wrong; none of you has answered his arguments.
[asv] Yea, I attended unto you,  And, behold, there was none that convinced Job,  Or that answered his words, among you.  
[jnd] Yea, I gave you mine attention, and behold, there was none of you that confuted Job, that answered his words;

[niv] Do not say, `We have found wisdom; let God refute him, not man.'
[asv] Beware lest ye say, We have found wisdom;  God may vanquish him, not man:  
[jnd] That ye may not say, We have found out wisdom; 鵊od will make him yield, not man.
[kjv] Lest ye should say, We have found out wisdom: God thrusteth him down, not man.
