[niv] From inside the fish Jonah prayed to the LORD his God.
[asv] Then Jonah prayed unto Jehovah his God out of the fish's belly.
[jnd] And Jonah prayed unto Jehovah his God out of the fish's belly;
[kjv] Then Jonah prayed unto the LORD his God out of the fish's belly,
[nwb] Then Jonah prayed to the LORD his God out of the fish's belly,
[rsv] Then Jonah prayed to the LORD his God from the belly of the fish,
[web] . Then Jonah prayed to Yahweh, his God, out of the fish's belly.
[ylt] And Jonah prayeth unto Jehovah his God from the bowels of the fish.
[bbe] And the Lord made ready a great fish to take Jonah into its mouth; and Jonah was inside the fish for three days and three nights.
2:2
[cbgb] 说,我遭遇患难求告耶和华,你就应允我。从阴间的深处呼求,你就俯听我的声音。 < | >
[niv] He said: "In my distress I called to the LORD, and he answered me. From the depths of the grave I called for help, and you listened to my cry.
[asv] And he said, I called by reason of mine affliction unto Jehovah, And he answered me; Out of the belly of Sheol cried I, And thou heardest my voice.
[jnd] and he said: I cried by reason of my distress unto Jehovah, and he answered me; Out of the belly of Sheol cried I: thou heardest my voice.
[kjv] And said, I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the LORD, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, and thou heardest my voice.
[nwb] And said, I cried by reason of my affliction to the LORD, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, thou heardst my voice.
[rsv] saying, "I called to the LORD, out of my distress, and he answered me; out of the belly of Sheol I cried, and thou didst hear my voice.
[web] He said,"I called because of my affliction to Yahweh.He answered me.Out of the belly of Sheol I cried.You heard my voice.
[ylt] And he saith: I called, because of my distress, to Jehovah, And He doth answer me, From the belly of sheol I have cried, Thou hast heard my voice.
[bbe] Then Jonah made prayer to the Lord his God from the inside of the fish, and said,

[cbgb] 你将我投下深渊,就是海的深处。大水环绕我。你的波浪洪涛都漫过我身。 < | >
[niv] You hurled me into the deep, into the very heart of the seas, and the currents swirled about me; all your waves and breakers swept over me.
[asv] For thou didst cast me into the depth, in the heart of the seas, And the flood was round about me; All thy waves and thy billows passed over me.
[jnd] For thou didst cast me into the depth, into the heart of the seas, And the flood was round about me: All thy breakers and thy billows are gone over me.
[kjv] For thou hadst cast me into the deep, in the midst of the seas; and the floods compassed me about: all thy billows and thy waves passed over me.
[nwb] For thou hadst cast me into the deep, in the midst of the seas; and the floods encompassed me: all thy billows and thy waves passed over me.
[rsv] For thou didst cast me into the deep, into the heart of the seas, and the flood was round about me; all thy waves and thy billows passed over me.

[ylt] When Thou dost cast me the deep, Into the heart of the seas, Then the flood doth compass me, All Thy breakers and Thy billows have passed over me.
[bbe] In my trouble I was crying to the Lord, and he gave me an answer; out of the deepest underworld I sent up a cry, and you gave ear to my voice.
2:4
[cbgb] 我说,我从你眼前虽被驱逐,我仍要仰望你的圣殿。 < | >
[niv] I said, `I have been banished from your sight; yet I will look again toward your holy temple.'
[asv] And I said, I am cast out from before thine eyes; Yet I will look again toward thy holy temple.
[jnd] And I said, I am cast out from before thine eyes, Yet will I look again toward thy holy temple.
[kjv] Then I said, I am cast out of thy sight; yet I will look again toward thy holy temple.
[nwb] Then I said, I am cast out of thy sight; yet I will look again towards thy holy temple.
[rsv] Then I said, 'I am cast out from thy presence; how shall I again look upon thy holy temple?'
[web] . I said, 'I have been banished from your sight;Yet I will look again toward your holy temple.'
[ylt] And I -- I said: I have been cast out from before Thine eyes, (Yet I add to look unto Thy holy temple!)
[bbe] For you have put me down into the deep, into the heart of the sea; and the river was round about me; all your waves and your rolling waters went over me.
2:5
[cbgb] 诸水环绕我,几乎淹没我。深渊围住我,海草缠绕我的头。 < | >
[niv] The engulfing waters threatened me, the deep surrounded me; seaweed was wrapped around my head.
[asv] The waters compassed me about, even to the soul; The deep was round about me; The weeds were wrapped about my head.
[jnd] The waters encompassed me, to the soul: The deep was round about me, The weeds were wrapped about my head.
[kjv] The waters compassed me about, even to the soul: the depth closed me round about, the weeds were wrapped about my head.
[nwb] The waters encompassed me, to the soul: the depth inclosed me on every side, the weeds were wrapped about my head.
[rsv] The waters closed in over me, the deep was round about me; weeds were wrapped about my head
[web] . The waters surrounded me,Even to the soul.The deep was around me.The weeds were wrapped around my head.
[ylt] Compassed me have waters unto the soul, The deep doth compass me, The weed is bound to my head.
[bbe] And I said, I have been sent away from before your eyes; how may I ever again see your holy Temple?

[cbgb] 我下到山根。地的门将我永远关住。耶和华我的 神阿,你却将我的性命,从坑中救出来。 < | >
[niv] To the roots of the mountains I sank down; the earth beneath barred me in forever. But you brought my life up from the pit, O LORD my God.
[asv] I went down to the bottoms of the mountains; The earth with its bars closed upon me for ever: Yet hast thou brought up my life from the pit, O Jehovah my God.
[jnd] I went down to the bottoms of the mountains; The bars of the earth upon me for ever: But thou hast brought up my life from the pit, O Jehovah my God.
[kjv] I went down to the bottoms of the mountains; the earth with her bars was about me for ever: yet hast thou brought up my life from corruption, O LORD my God.
[nwb] I went down to the bottoms of the mountains; the earth with her bars about me for ever: yet hast thou brought up my life from corruption, O LORD my God.
[rsv] at the roots of the mountains. I went down to the land whose bars closed upon me for ever; yet thou didst bring up my life from the Pit, O LORD my God.

[ylt] To the cuttings of mountains I have come down, The earth, her bars behind me to the age. And Thou bringest up from the pit my life, O Jehovah my God.
[bbe] The waters were circling round me, even to the neck; the deep was about me; the sea-grass was twisted round my head.
2:7
[cbgb] 我心在我里面发昏的时候,我就想念耶和华。我的祷告进入你的圣殿,达到你的面前。 < | >
[niv] "When my life was ebbing away, I remembered you, LORD, and my prayer rose to you, to your holy temple.
[asv] When my soul fainted within me, I remembered Jehovah; And my prayer came in unto thee, into thy holy temple.
[jnd] When my soul fainted within me, I remembered Jehovah; And my prayer came in unto thee, Into thy holy temple.
[kjv] When my soul fainted within me I remembered the LORD: and my prayer came in unto thee, into thine holy temple.
[nwb] When my soul fainted within me I remembered the LORD: and my prayer came to thee, into thy holy temple.

[web] . "When my soul fainted within me, I remembered Yahweh.My prayer came in to you, into your holy temple.
[ylt] In the feebleness within me of my soul Jehovah I have remembered, And come in unto Thee doth my prayer, Unto Thy holy temple.
[bbe] I went down to the bases of the mountains; as for the earth, her walls were about me for ever: but you have taken up my life from the underworld, O Lord my God.
2:8
[cbgb] 那信奉虚无之 神的人,离弃怜爱他们的主。 < | >
[niv] "Those who cling to worthless idols forfeit the grace that could be theirs.
[asv] They that regard lying vanities Forsake their own mercy.
[jnd] They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy.
[kjv] They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy.
[nwb] They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy.
[rsv] Those who pay regard to vain idols forsake their true loyalty.
[web] . Those who regard lying vanities forsake their own mercy.
[ylt] Those observing lying vanities their own mercy forsake.
[bbe] When my soul in me was overcome, I kept the memory of the Lord: and my prayer came in to you, into your holy Temple.
2:9
[cbgb] 但我必用感谢的声音献祭与你。我所许的愿,我必偿还。救恩出于耶和华。 < | >
[niv] But I, with a song of thanksgiving, will sacrifice to you. What I have vowed I will make good. Salvation comes from the LORD."
[asv] But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay that which I have vowed. Salvation is of Jehovah.
[jnd] But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay that which I have vowed. Salvation is of Jehovah.
[kjv] But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay that that I have vowed. Salvation is of the LORD.

[bbe] The worshippers of false gods have given up their only hope.
2:10
[cbgb] 耶和华吩咐鱼,鱼就把约拿吐在旱地上。 <
[niv] And the LORD commanded the fish, and it vomited Jonah onto dry land.
[asv] And Jehovah spake unto the fish, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry land.
[jnd] And Jehovah commanded the fish, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry .
[kjv] And the LORD spake unto the fish, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry land.
[nwb] And the LORD spoke to the fish, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry .

[web] . Yahweh spoke to the fish, and it vomited out Jonah on the dry land.
[ylt] And Jehovah saith to the fish, and it vomiteth out Jonah on the dry land.
[bbe] But I will make an offering to you with the voice of praise; I will give effect to my oaths. Salvation is the Lord's.
