40:2

[niv] He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.
[asv] He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay;  And he set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.  
[jnd] And he brought me up out of the pit of destruction, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock; he hath established my goings:

[cbgb] 他使我口唱新歌，就是赞美我们　神的话。许多人必看见而惧怕，并要倚靠耶和华。 < | >
[niv] He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear and put their trust in the LORD.
[asv] And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God:  Many shall see it, and fear,  And shall trust in Jehovah.  
[jnd] And he hath put a new song in my mouth, praise unto our God. Many shall see it, and fear, and shall confide in Jehovah.

40:4
[cbgb] 那倚靠耶和华，不理会狂傲和偏向虚假之辈的，这人便为有福。 < | >
[niv] Blessed is the man who makes the LORD his trust, who does not look to the proud, to those who turn aside to false gods.
[asv] Blessed is the man that maketh Jehovah his trust,  And respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.  
[jnd] Blessed is the man that hath made Jehovah his confidence, and turneth not to the proud, and to such as turn aside to lies.
[kjv] Blessed is that man that maketh the LORD his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.

40:5
[cbgb] 耶和华我的　神阿，你所行的奇事，并你向我们所怀的意念甚多，不能向你陈明。若要陈明，其事不可胜数。 < | >
[niv] Many, O LORD my God, are the wonders you have done. The things you planned for us no one can recount to you; were I to speak and tell of them, they would be too many to declare.
[asv] Many, O Jehovah my God, are the wonderful works which thou hast done,  And thy thoughts which are to us-ward;  They cannot be set in order unto thee;  If I would declare and speak of them,  They are more than can be numbered.  
[jnd] Thou, O Jehovah my God, hast multiplied thy marvellous works, and thy thoughts toward us: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee; would I declare and speak , they are more than can be numbered.
[kjv] Many, O LORD my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.

[bbe] O Lord my God, great are the wonders which you have done in your thought for us; it is not possible to put them out in order before you; when I would give an account of them, their number is greater than I may say.
40:6

[niv] Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but my ears you have pierced ; burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not require.
[asv] Sacrifice and offering thou hast no delight in;  Mine ears hast thou opened:  Burnt-offering and sin-offering hast thou not required.  
[jnd] Sacrifice and oblation thou didst not desire: ears hast thou prepared me. Burnt-offering and sin-offering hast thou not demanded;

[niv] Then I said, "Here I am, I have come-- it is written about me in the scroll.
[asv] Then said I, Lo, I am come;  In the roll of the book it is written of me:

[niv] I desire to do your will, O my God; your law is within my heart."
[asv] I delight to do thy will, O my God;  Yea, thy law is within my heart.  
[jnd] To do thy good pleasure, my God, is my delight, and thy law is within my heart.

[niv] I proclaim righteousness in the great assembly; I do not seal my lips, as you know, O LORD.
[asv] I have proclaimed glad tidings of righteousness in the great assembly;  Lo, I will not refrain my lips,  O Jehovah, thou knowest.  
[jnd] I have published righteousness in the great congregation: behold, I have not withheld my lips, Jehovah, *thou* knowest.
[kjv] I have preached righteousness in the great congregation: lo, I have not refrained my lips, O LORD, thou knowest.

[cbgb] 我未曾把你的公义藏在心里。我已陈明你的信实，和你的救恩。我在大会中未曾隐瞒你的慈爱，和诚实。 < | >
[niv] I do not hide your righteousness in my heart; I speak of your faithfulness and salvation. I do not conceal your love and your truth from the great assembly.
[asv] I have not hid thy righteousness within my heart;  I have declared thy faithfulness and thy salvation;  I have not concealed thy lovingkindness and thy truth from the great assembly.

[niv] Do not withhold your mercy from me, O LORD; may your love and your truth always protect me.
[asv] Withhold not thou thy tender mercies from me, O Jehovah;  Let thy lovingkindness and thy truth continually preserve me.

[niv] For troubles without number surround me; my sins have overtaken me, and I cannot see. They are more than the hairs of my head, and my heart fails within me.
[asv] For innumerable evils have compassed me about;  Mine iniquities have overtaken me, so that I am not able to look up;  They are more than the hairs of my head;  And my heart hath failed me.

[niv] May all who seek to take my life be put to shame and confusion; may all who desire my ruin be turned back in disgrace.
[asv] Let them be put to shame and confounded together  That seek after my soul to destroy it:  Let them be turned backward and brought to dishonor  That delight in my hurt.  
[jnd] Let them be ashamed and brought to confusion together that seek after my soul to destroy it; let them be turned backward and confounded that take pleasure in mine adversity;

[niv] May those who say to me, "Aha! Aha!" be appalled at their own shame.
[asv] Let them be desolate by reason of their shame  That say unto me, Aha, aha.

[niv] But may all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you; may those who love your salvation always say, "The LORD be exalted!"
[asv] Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee:  Let such as love thy salvation say continually,  Jehovah be magnified.  
[jnd] Let all those that seek thee be glad and rejoice in thee; let such as love thy salvation say continually, Jehovah be magnified!

[niv] Yet I am poor and needy; may the Lord think of me. You are my help and my deliverer; O my God, do not delay.
[asv] But I am poor and needy;  Yet the Lord thinketh upon me:  Thou art my help and my deliverer;  Make no tarrying, O my God. Psalm
[jnd] But I am afflicted and needy: the Lord thinketh upon me. Thou art my help and my deliverer: my God, make no delay.
