[niv] You showed favor to your land, O LORD; you restored the fortunes of Jacob.
[asv] Jehovah, thou hast been favorable unto thy land;  Thou hast *brought back the captivity of Jacob.

85:2

[niv] You forgave the iniquity of your people and covered all their sins.

[niv] You set aside all your wrath and turned from your fierce anger.
[asv] Thou hast taken away all thy wrath;  Thou hast turned thyself from the fierceness of thine anger.
