[niv] Rise up, O Judge of the earth; pay back to the proud what they deserve.
[asv] Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth:  Render to the proud their desert.

[asv] They prate, they speak arrogantly:  All the workers of iniquity boast themselves.

[niv] Take heed, you senseless ones among the people; you fools, when will you become wise?
[asv] Consider, ye brutish among the people;  And ye fools, when will ye be wise?

[niv] Does he who disciplines nations not punish? Does he who teaches man lack knowledge?
[asv] He that *chastiseth the nations, shall not he correct,  Even he that teacheth man knowledge?
